Question by Bob: How to apply for jobs at factories?
How do I do this? I have tried going to several plants in person, but the door is always locked and I can’t get in to see a receptionist! I’ve looked several companies up online, but most of their websites don’t tell you how to submit a resume to them, nor do they provide an email address. It is easy to find contact info such as phone number and fax, however. Is it proper to just fax in your resume to a company? Or should I phone them up and ask them how to submit my resume? Please help.

Go to their main number and ask for the personnel/human resources department. Ask where to send your application.

I used to think it was all a load of crap that you can make money at home on your computer, boy was I ever way too skeptical and could kick myself for not giving this stuff a chance years ago. A private lawyer from England is contacting people via email stating that they are the only living relative and can apply for the millions of dollars (pounds) left to them. The process is long, costly, and asks for much personal information including a color copy of a passport. How can I be sure this is a scam? The fax number they have given me is 44-700-598-0371 for the Castle Trust Bank.

My family and I have been cheated badly by City Old Tourism. We booked 9 days on a 5 star hotel in Cuba, and arriving at the hotel, they did not know of our reservation and payment.
On my accont and email history at Old City Tourism, everything seems to be okay. I have even spoken to them prior to take off and they were kind and helpfull. Now they pretend that they investigate what has happend. The asked me to send a copy of my receipt from by fax. Where do I report this fraud, – police or what?

Credit card company. Tell them you are refuting the charge. They will investigate and if you got ripped off they will credit you back the money.

Hmmm, looks like i have been another victim of this company!
Opened my statement this morning, and have been charged £92 for a hotel booking that never was! Back in July I wanted to find someplace that would do one night in Brighton. Booked through www.allhotelssearch.com but they came back to me the next day and said the hotel I was interested in was full, but that I wouldn’t be charged. Found a hotel by myself in the end. It seems Oldcity have done this a few times, judging by the things I have found on the Net. I thought this was just an error, but it looks like I will have to call and cancel my credit card in case it gets used again!

Got hold of my credit card co…. they have taken it off my statement for 30 days while they investigate it. They are going to ask Old City for documentation of what this payment was for….stay tuned I guess!

I’ve been got too, about a month ago. I’ve had no luck in getting replies to emails OR anyone who will speak to me on the phone. I have contacted my bank who say that the form of payment I used was guaranteed payment, and that it’s unlikely I’ll get my money back. I suggest people type in old city tourism into the ‘search for questions’ box on Yahoo 7 and see what this company have been up to.

I have 1600 contacts in an excel file that consist of company names and fax numbers. I need to import it into outlook express and have the fax numbers automatically go into the proper outlook express fields. When I select import to the fax field, it says “you must select either name, company name, nickname, or email as the field to import.” All I want to do is import my contacts into a program that will let me fax everyone with just one click. Why is this so damned difficult?

It is difficult because it can’t be done. You should have thought about it more thoroughly BEFORE you put them into the excel file.

The voice of the people was heard in D C, and stopped this amnesty bill. Shall we now ask our representatives to:
seal the borders now?
begin deporting the illegals?
throw out the SPP?
get rid of RFID for people (aka the spychip)?
Anybody with me on this? We can get them to listen, but we have to crash their PBX and flood them with email/faxes, etc..

In a market driven economy the laws of supply and demand becomes the rules of any issue. Americans are misdirecting their anger towards the supply, which are the Mexicans coming over to fill a demand.
The anger should be directed towards the DEMAND or the people, who are paying the Mexicans under the table below minimum wages or sweat shop wages. They’re your sell outs, cashing in on the problem…without NO DEMAND then there is NO SUPPLY.
If you treat those Employers like Cocain Dealers…then they straighten up. Rich Business people fear Prison more than the Devil.

i’m trying to find out about my immunization records, and i don’t quite know what to do. i plan on calling the dr. to ask, but i was wondering if they will give you the information over the phone, if you have to make an appointment, or if you simply have to fill out a form and turn it in or something.
also, i doubt it, but if i call, i wondered if they would email or fax the information to me, or possibly mail it, or would i need to pick it up at the office myself.

every hospital, doctors office and clinic is different. contact your doctor and ask how can you obtain a copy of your immunization record. they may give it to you over the phone, they may fax it, they may photo copy it or they may ask you to fill out a form for its release.
