I will never order from this person again. I never got the order and when I emailed him the other day, he said he had taken it off of amazon before I order, but kept my money. He said after I emailed him that he will be refunding me, but I have not gotten it yet.

It seems that products by this company are varied and many, as other reviews of Haier products will attest. And just to put the old nail in the coffin, customer service is non-existent.

Christmas 2009 , we were given a Haier dual zone wine cellar as a gift. I understand the item is different from the table top one, but the review is written regarding the company’s overall bad customer service.
In March 2009 the cellar was not working properly, we called Haier’s customer service Dept and we were told to mail them part of the electrical cord. We did , they signed for the package and we we told the check will be in the mail withing 45days. Here we are October 5 2009 and we are still waiting for the check. We have made 15 different phone calls to their customer service, we have tried to call their headquarters in NY (where after several prompts no human being came to the line)and we have filed a complaint with the General Attorney’ Offfice in New York .
I am strongly recommend to all of you out there , if you ever have any problems you will never be able to get them resolved.
I HOPE , SOMEONE OUT THERE, WILL TAKE TIME AND LOOK INTO THIS COMPANY….their vision posted on the web site regarding customer service is bunch of …(you know what…..)
STAY AWAY FROM THEIR PRODUCTS….THERE ARE OTHER COMPANIES THAT NEED OUR BUSINESS.

This wine cellar fits perfectly next to our refrigerator in the new home we built!!
Because it is black and silver, it looks like it was made to go with our black and stainless steel appliances!!
It works like a charm and is so quiet that you don’t know it is there!

I’d like to amend my previous review, which gave this unit one star for dying so quickly. Well, I just bought Cuisinart 16 bottle wine cellar to replace Haier (which I’ve had for 3 years, and it has actually stopped going below 65 degrees 2 years ago)) and when I took the unit to throw it out I noticed the back vent was completely plugged up with your standard kitchen dust bunny/oil gunk. I cleaned it off and plugged it into the outlet 12 hours after the Cuisinart. It has chilled the wine to 55 degrees for the first time in 2 years, and it did it in about 3 hours! It won’t go any lower, and the ambient temperature is 67 degrees… but I thought it was completely dead and it isn’t! Now I’m wondering if my Cuisinart will live up to it’s promise as it’s been 20 hours and the inside temperature is 62 degrees (I have it set on 55).
Update. Turns out that my digital temp/hygrometer is ALSO off by about 8-9 degrees. So the inside of the Haier was probably 48 at its lowest setting! So basically… it still works after 3 years and I didn’t have to buy the Cuisinart!
