Fax Service: Is SLG financial a scam? I need answers plz! ?
i applied for loans online and this man called 3 times asking for me to return his call so i did today and he said I applied for 1100 but was approved for 5,000 and for me to give him a fax number so he can fax the loan agreement documents for me to sign to receive my money.Is this a scam or what shall I do? He didn’t ask for no money up front or nothing. HELP PLEASE!

Check with your local Better Business Bureau. You can also check with your state regulatory agency for banks. You could also contact the Better Business Bureau in the city in which this company is located to see if complaints have been filed. The Secretary of State in their home state would also know if they exist and how long they have been in business. This assumes that they are incorporated. I would be skeptical of anyone who wants to give me almost 4 times the amount that I applied for when I have never done business with them. I never apply for a loan on line. I suppose that I am just skeptical. If you have poor or marginal credit I would be extremely skeptical. On the other hand, they could be legitimate. You didn’t mention the type of loan you were seeking. Since you stated that they didn’t require a down payment I assume the loan is for a consumer product such as an auto loan? If that is the case then it would depend on the appraised value of the car. If it is a signature loan then it is no common practice to pay money up front. If you decide to proceed with this loan you need to read the documents they send very carefully. There could be very expensive fees hidden in the contract. I prefer dealing with local lenders when I need money. If you have a problem it is much easier to deal with someone when you are in the same room. Good luck.

I am being sued by my landlord for rent my bank previously verified was made to the apartments. I have to file a response by tommorow. I called the bank and left multiple messages on Friday and even spoke to someone who was going to fax me something but, never did and then I could not get a hold of them again. Today I am either getting a busy signal or no answer at all on my banks line. My bank is an internet bank and I cannot go to where they are to confront them. I do not know what to do. I am worried about the bank but, feel I have paid my rent. Please help. Should I file the response without documentation and then provide the documentation later? If you respond and are a lawyer please identify that. I am a resident of San Diego, CA if you need that info. I am just so worried that I will lose my home.
I do have a bank statement showing that it cleared. I gave this to my landlord who then required the letter from the bank. Which was faxed and received but, now the landlord has filed this lawsuite and I cannot get ahold of my bank to get anything further.

Get a temp. statement from your bank showing where and when the check cleared.

So, THE same thing happened to me. What a nightmare- landlord threatened eviction and I knew and had the proof that the check cleared. Unfortunately since you have a bank that you cannot go to- your statement will have serve as the proof. I would continue to redial your bank until I get the Customer Service MANAGER. Explain your situation and (nicely) explain that time is now of the essence and you need verification via fax. With these simple steps it may help your situation. So try to continue to phone and do not stop until you get an answer. GOOD LUCK

You should file a response today so that the case does not defualt. At the same time, request a continuance of the case so you have time to gather supporting evidence. This is called ‘discovery’. Your statements are an example of discovery evidence.
What you will need to do is look at the contract language inside the agreements between you and the internet bank and also your rental agreement with your landlord. While I am sure the bank language supports your case, the fact is they may have gone out of business.
I suspect your rental agreement states that ultimately you are responsible for the rent. If the landlord’s account does not reflect that the rent was received through a transfer, you are likely responsible. However, you also may use your statements and file your own lawsuit against the bank–if they issued a statement saying they paid when they did not, you have a case.
If they are going out of business and have committed fraud, you may be in a long line of people attempting to get resolve on debts. Contact your state attorney general’s office and issue a complaint.
Time is important on doing this since if the bank is going bankrupt, the issuances of debt resolutions will possibly be made (ultimately through a court order) by order of filing against them.
A word to the wise: never use an internet bank that does not have a local branch. Get a local account going where you can establish a relationship with them.

2) It is missing a title in the browser bar
3) The design is old fashioned and looks fake.
Always trust your instincts on the web, if anything be over cautious with sites like this

If you don’t trust the site, don’t order anything from them. We are not responsible for your decisions. I get the impression you are greedy.
Businesses like them have popped up as the economy deteriorated and importers were desperate to unload inventory they could not find buyers for at higher prices. The only question is the quality of the merchandise, as there have been a lot of reports of Chinese counterfeiting.
You say products come with a manufacturer’s warranty. That just means the website selling the product does not provide any warranty at all, they don’t have to. Counterfeiters lie about providing manufacturer’s warranty, after all, they already lied when they made and sold the product in the first place.

Yes i call into the Better Business Bureau and guess what i found out their are two parts, their is a Better Business Bureau & BBB OnLine , when i did the check on the net it did not come up under the Better Business Bureau, but when i contacted the BBB OnLine i found everything i wanted to know. www.yourtrueprice.com has applied and the application looks as if it will be approved as the rep told me.
give the site a fair shake do a test run buy something small at first, something under 0.00 dollar or under 0.00 and see how you like it.

Yes, you can definitely retrieve the history on any fax machine.
However, each machine has its own sequence of commands to retrieve it. Every brand is different, as I have found out – I wish they would have a “print history” button on the front panel.
You will have to get hold of your fax manual. Once you get it, there should be a section that tells you how to print out the history file.

This is the method for a Different lexmark… but might work on that one. Try this:
To print fax activity reports:
On the control panel, press Fax Mode.
Press the Menu button
Press or repeatedly until Fax Reports appears. Press Select .
Press or repeatedly until the type of report you want to print appears. The options are:
Print: All
Print: Sent
Print: Rec’d (received)
Confirmation
Auto Print
Press to print the report.
