So why buy the car (or try to) if the deal sucks?

when I try to buy online he asked for fax a copy of my credit card (front and back) is this legal??? and he say If you cannot do this, then I will have to cancel your order.
Thanks

Featured answer:

Answer by wirelessjobseeker
Maybe, but I wouldn’t do it. All he needs is the number on the back of your card and he can order stuff off the internet to his heart’s delight.

Answer by waplambadoobatawhopbamboo
cancel the order – he’s a thief

Answer by little fairy lady
Let him cancel your order. I have never had anyone ask for a copy of my credit card. Do not give it to them. Do your shopping somewhere else.

Answer by peacfulwar
The only need the back of the card to verify the 3 digit security code. However, most places online just simply ask that yoyu provide them with those numbers verbally. If it is not a reputable company example; Best Buy, Sears, ect ect. Otherwise I wouldnt give them jack.

Answer by tonalc1
NO! The back of your card contains your security code. He can use this to make purchases. Run far, run fast.

Ask by roxy: all the icons on my start button disappeared how do i get them back?
all the icons on my start button got deleted like the control panel icon, run, internet explorer, all programs, etc; all i have are the printer and faxes icon and the set program access and default icon after i did this cleanup thing on my computer i noticed they all got deleted now i can barely do anything on my computer how do i get all those icons back on my start button?? HELP!

Best answer:

Answer by golfer2
Right click on your start button, click properties, then customize, and then advanced.

you want to click where it says display as a link on all of them

Answer by Helping Since 1969
your start menu folders and settings have somehow gotten deleted. First just try right clicking on the start button and select properties and if the settings come up, make sure the things you want visible are checked and then apply….if the options don’t come up you have a far greater problem than your icons missing.

If you don’t get the options……right click on your desktop or click on th emy computer icon (if its there) and browse to c:/documents and settings/youruserid/start menu
see if there is anything there…..if not backup to either admin or a different user and go to that start menu folder…..if the icons you want are represented there, then click edit and select all then edit and copy….go back to your folder and then paste…..now you should have the icons back……..
If you cannot access any of these folders or the folder is hidden you’ll have to go into folder options and select to show hidden files and folders….if you cannot navigate to any other folders, make sure you have admin access……if the options ares still not there you have a big problem with your system and the best bet is to run system restore to the point before this problem occured.

By Mel Bel: Can a seller back out of an counter offer?
We put an offer in on a short sale and the seller countered back. We agreed and signed off on the counter offer. Our agent called the other agent, emailed and faxed back our signatures for the counter offer. The problem came up when our real estate agent informed us that there was now another offer on the board. If they countered back on our offer and we agreed can they consider another offer from someone else?

Answer:

Answer by the kid
Once everyone’s signatures are on the counter, you have a contract, and they can only back out based on the terms therein. My guess is that it doesn’t say they can back out just b/c they think they can get more money.

Answer by Chris
Yes, they can on a short sale – frequently the bank, or whoever holds the mortgage, wants as much money as they can get.

My brother bought a house on a short sale and as they were going through the place with the inspector people were still looking at the house. He eventually got it but it took about 6 stressful months.

Answer by acermill
In a short sale, the rules change. While the sellers themselves are bound to your accepted counteroffer, the bank will simply refuse to approve YOUR offer if the other offer tendered is more attractive to the bank. The bank involved has the final say on which offer it will accept and approve.

Answer by Steve D
Doesn’t matter, as a short sale, the bank still has to approve the offer and once the bank knows that there is a higher offer on the table, they will not approve your offer. Since they hold the lien, the ball is in their court and unless you top the other offer, you will lose out on the house.

Answer by Aashish
You can go to this site for help and know the legal ways to solve real estate problems

By Megan D: Money back from internet scam?!?
I paid $ 64 something to a crap website called FreeTV.com. It doesn’t work(like all of their so-called stations are always “down”) and I wouldn’t even want if it did work ’cause the stations are crap anyway. They say on the page where you put your payment trough that they have a “Seven day money back garauntee”.(Ofcourse when you go into terms and conditions(the fine print they think nobody reads) it says it keeps $ 10 so really you don’t even get all of your money back). Anyhow, there’s no way to select the “Money-back garauntee”, there’s no customer service number or e-mail of fax or anything, there’s one of those areas where you can leave a so-called “ticket” that they’re supposed to leave a response, but when you submit the ticket it doesn’t say “your message has been sent” or anything, and they never did answer my ticket where I asked for my money back. It’s been eight days now and they better give me money $ back ’cause I contacted them the only way I could, more than once, within the seven days. HOW CAN I GET THESE SNAKES TO GET ME MY MONEY BACK? They deserve to lose their business. NO ONE BUY FROM FREETV.COM!

Best answer:

Answer by onomatopoeia
Just threaten to set up blogs about them and basically make them the devil and report them on every single scam website possible. If that doesn’t get their attentioin, carry out your threat. You might not have your back, but you would have your revenge.

Answer by MB princess of BM
make a complaint at the bbb (better business bureau) and always check with them before you give money to an online business.

Answer by germansolider
sue the company who sold ed you that FREETV.COM spam crap >:(

By reckless: my outlook at work has changed all the fax numbers to emails… company@000… how do i get it back to normal.

Best answer:

Answer by U dont know me
Outlook 2000, 2002 and XP treats FAX numbers as valid electronic communication so if you have both email and fax in a contact, both show up when you hit send. There is no way to default to only email. Two options exist to save you headaches.

 1. Put FAX number in a different slot so that the fax field on contacts is empty.
2. Manually insert an alpha character or characters in front
of FAX number like FAX – this tricks outlook into ignoring the FAX number as an email address.
Hope it helps

Ask by Kyle M: My printer won’t come back online! What do I do?
I have an H.P. F340 All-in-one printer. I was printing something when I got a paper jam. >:(. So I unjammed it, and that didn’t solve anything, so I thought of turning off my printer off and back on to solve it. Well when I turned it back on, it says offline on the printers and faxes screen!!! I need this document printed so what do I do?

Answer:

By texansbaybee2011: How do I get my printer back online?
We have 2 computers (1 is the main computer, we have it labeled) in the office and one printer/fax (hp brand). It was working fine yesterday. Now we did have a glich in the morning and now its saying “printer offline” on the main computer and its not printing anything up.
How do I fix that?
When I go into networks and settings, it says there is no printer on there and the ip address is all blanked out.
Nthing is happening.
It pulls up both computers “main” and “office”. Under the “office” it shows the printer and fax. Under the “main” it doesnt have any printers under it. When I click “add printer” it tells me “you do not have sufficient rights to perform this operation”
Well I reinstalled. It put it under the “main” computer and that message didnt come up again that i didnt have the suffiect whatever……
I guess that will do. It just doesnt show like it did before:

I dont know thanks

Selected answer:

Answer by Frank
alright try to uninstall the drivers and install them again from scratch. if you don’t have the drivers you can usually download them from the manufacture’s web like I did with vista.

Answer by tmolhoek
On the computer that has the printer hooked up to it, make sure the printer is online there. If not, right click on it and turn it online. (Start > Control Panel > Printers & Faxes)

if that doesn’t work, uninstall it and then install the latest drivers.

Ask by smiley: My printer is offline and won’t go back to online..please help?
my printer is an HP Deskjet D2345
I tried printing and it says it s offline.
THINGS I HAVE ALREADY DONE:

• I have turned off an on the computer a couple of times.
• I have checked for paper jams and such.
• I have checked the cables.
• I tried clicking the “use printer offline” then i click the same button again and it doesn’t go back online.
• Last thing I tried was going to control panel – printers and faxes – and right clicking to my default printer.

When I turned off the printer I waited like 25 seconds or so

Good Answer:

Answer by emucompboy
Did you try unplugging the printer, waiting at least 30 seconds, then plugging it back in?

Answer by The Impossible Cube
Have you checked that you have the right drivers for your OS? A quick visit to the HP website might help.

Answer by lucee
I looked up this printer and decided the link below is the best bet for comprehensive advice toward fixing your problem. I honestly do not know what it is, and I do think you have taken all the necessary steps. Of course, I have to ask: When you turned the printer on and off, did you wait at least 1 minute before turning it back on? With today’s printers, that’s a necessity.
Good luck with this!

Answer by confusd
Try reinstalling it if nothing else works.

Answer by Richard J
Disconnect the power cord and USB cable
Reboot your computer
Reconnect the power cord and USB cable
