By Yeah…right: Carfax says salvage title…… but the title is clear?
Okay so i have a question… I purchased a vehicle and the title is free and clear in my name… upon trying to trade/sell the vehicle car fax says the vehicle has a branded title… I have the title which states it is not branded….From my records.. the car was involved in a minor accident to the left fender and the fender was replaced… my question is… is it salvage or not? and how do i get car fax to remove the incorrect records?

Not all salvage titles are branded. It can be a salvage title with a clear title. The reason being it may have been damaged or whatever and not reported to an insurance company. Example: If you had an accident and didn’t report it to your insurance company for whatever reason. Didn’t want to have your rates raised or the person who hit you paid you in cash or settled privately then there would be a clean title. Some states like in PA allow cars to be repaired and state inspected for safety to be put back on the road. You would get a salvage title when you bought the car and a salvage branded title after it was repaired. Remember not all salvage title mean that the car was totaled. Some salvage title are given because the year of the car makes it not worth the repairs. For example I as a dealer bought a 2004 ford explorer for 750.00 and it was a salvage title. I sent it out and had it fixed by my shop. The ford need a new hood, fender, grill and paint. The total repair came to 2700.00 . A salvage is a good deal if the repairs were done right and with good parts. Any car no matter what the repairs may be can be garbage if they aren’t done right. There is a formula that insurance companies use to determine what they pay for repairs if the repairs are more than what they feel the car is worth they will write if off. Now as far as your title saying free and clear, that can also mean free and clear concerning there are no liens and it is owned by you without any encumbrances attached to it. So I would also take that into considerations but also find out from your DMV to be certain. DO NOT just take or believe what the seller said.

A car can be “free and clear” and be salvage. Free & clear means no money is owed on it. Doesn’t mean it was never wrecked or salvaged.
Car fax can be wrong but chances are they are right and you are wrong.

Carfax may be more amenable to correcting that error than they were before they settled a Class Action suit brought because of all the erroneous info they reported.

Ask by Andrew F: How do I clear out documents from my Windows Picture & Fax viewer?
I have about 1900+ images in there and it seems that whenever I need to print one it takes forever and the programs seems to want to pull up all the documents I have ever printed using this program. Where can I go and remove all the old documents? I can’t even locate the program on my PC.
Thanks!

FAQ: How to clear all of the images on Windows Picture and Fax Viewer?
Posted by in Fax How-To on August 24, 2010
Ask by Annette R.: How to clear all of the images on Windows Picture and Fax Viewer?
Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Even though I never download images onto my computer, I just open them when I look through the pictures on this program there is an entire history of old images I’ve looked at. I have to go one by one and delete all of them. Is there a faster, easier way for me to clear all of the images?

hmmm, I’m looking at both my windows xp and vista machine. my windows picture and fax viewer on xp doesn’t have any kind of history on it, just the very basic viewer… on vista it’s the photo gallery.
So I’m curious what version of P&F viewer that is. Anyway, you should have an option to not keep the history in preferences for that version. Turn it off and you shouldn’t see the history any more. The thumbnails and images will still be stored in your temporary history directories… so if you want to get rid of them, you need to find them and delete them.

Try to highlight in groups instead of one at a time and then delete. If they are all in the same folder, go to edit and click select all then delete
