How do I know when my Canon copy/fax machine is completely out of ink? – Fax Online

Question by jess: How do I know when my Canon copy/fax machine is completely out of ink?
2 days ago it started marking on the machine about cartridge, but I thought “okay I’ll order some in like 2 days” cause it still has some. Well yesterday a fax was trying to come in for quite a while so I opened the machine, to where the cartridge is at, and I just moved it around(still in the machine) and I closed it back, and the fax came out, ever since that, it has not been marking that it needs ink.
However, I ordered some online today, should I switch it as soon as I get it(I will get it tomorrow) or wait till it marks again?

A friend of mine told me one time to take the cartridge and shake it. If it’s low, you may be able to get a couple more days out of it. Sounds like you should probably change it when you get the new one. Good luck.

Can someone tell me how to COMPLETELY uninstall HP F4140 deskjet?

Question by MickeyF: Can someone tell me how to COMPLETELY uninstall HP F4140 deskjet?
Deskjet disk is Version 8.0.0. I am trying to uninstall this printer so I can install an Officejet 7310xi. The 7310 is older, but a much nicer printer and the CD version is 4.2.0.
I’ve tried desperately to remove the F4140 using the disk, the add/remove programs, the program uninstall from list and the printer/fax window as directed on HP site.
When I then try to install the OJ 7310 I get a message saying a newer version of software is already installed. It’s newer software, but for a different printer!
HP won’t help unless I pay them and I think I’ve paid them enough with the cost of the 2 printers!
Does anyone know how to uninstall the printer completely? The scrub on HP site didn’t work either.
Thanks.
THANKS but I’ve tried all that and it doesn’t work.
HP has files hidden that will not be removed. How do they get away with this stuff? They take over!!!!!
UGH

I would try a system restore ..depending on how long you have had the printer on your PC or you could go to printers and faxes and select server properties and go to the ports tab and delete the port..or go to the device manager and delete it from there under ports… or you can stop the printer service and try to uninstall it that way..or you can download a program call Revo Uninstaller 1.80 you should be able to google it..Filehippo might have some programs that could also be of use for removing programs that you do not want..hope this helps
What do you think? Answer below please!
