Ask by putty wutty: Ebay Help!!! Legal Matter? I’m an eBay gold powerseller and sell designer clothing?
One month ago my account was limited & I was required to resolve disputes on my paypal account. After resolving all the disputes I emailed eBay & asked them to remove the limitations. They declined telling me to solve issues with my sister’s eBay and Paypal account (same address). That Paypal account was closed 2 years ago but a balance of $ 24.00 was still needed to be paid. Once finished I sent another email asking for the removal, they once again declined asking me to fax in driver’s license, invoices, & credit card statements (asked on 5/2 – completed on 5/4). On May 9th they told me they received my faxes & wanted more including specific receipts of items I sold 5 weeks ago. I explain that my items were received from outlet stores & specificity was not possible. Since then I have sent numerous emails and calls. They recently told me I would not be allowed to call back in or my account would be suspended. I am being harassed for no reason.Do I turn this into a legal matter or what?

Something’s getting their hackles up – try to solve the issue by asking them what you need to do to make them satisfied with your account management at PayPal and eBay. Only you know what’s been going on – they usually respond well if you ask them for help to solve an issue.

I would. Greedbay and Paypal are notoriously difficult to deal with. So many powersellers have now left, and this is a primary reason..their customer service and conflict resolution just plain sucks. If you can prove your case, go after ‘em!

Ebay have their policies which regulate the buying and selling on the site.

You have a history of disputes on your account and so has your ‘sister’ which resulted in being outstanding for 2 years.

Ebay is a business, they have a reputation to uphold and if there are people who are capable of putting their site into disrepute by arguing over matters to do with paypal ( which is in place to ensure safe and efficient payment ) then they will limit that person’s account.

If i owned/ worked for/ use Ebay i would want to know that this type of scrutiny is going on.

You are being the harrassor! Wait for a few months before contacting them again. Alternatively don’t use the site again.

You have no legal argument in this matter for the reasons stated above.
