How do I get email notifications when I receive a fax?

Question: How do I get email notifications when I receive a fax?
Is there a way to hook up my computer to my fax/printer and get email notifications to my blackberry?

You will need an online fax number to receive the notifications by email…same goes for the blackberry notification.

I have been using Gmail to send and receive faxes. Your Gmail on your blackberry will pop when you have a new fax as well.

Give your answer to this question please!

I would say it’s a scam. Anyone who asks for private info is usually up to no good. Look in your phone book & get the number for Exxon & check with them to see if they are running any such competition/award scheme. Don’t use the phone number given to you in the email as it may not be genuine.

According to this website, it’s a fraud.

FAQ: How to sent a fax through email?

Q&A: How to sent a fax through email?
I don’t really have access to fax and I don’t have a smart phone. Is there a way to send fax through email? I had one before through some website, but that was years ago and I don’t think it’s around anymore.

You have to scan it into your computer, then attach it to an email

if you just use a search engine saying “email to fax” there are many available options. a lot of them available for free.

I received an Email from the Royal Bank of Scotland, stating I needed to get in touch with them to claim my $? – Fax Online

fax online

Fax Service: I received an Email from the Royal Bank of Scotland, stating I needed to get in touch with them to claim my $?
I Emailed them back and asked what winnings? They told I had won
a lottery that was done through Email address and I needed to make arrangements to claim my funds. They also stated to me that
there was no cost on my part, that all I had to do was fill out the forms
to open up an internet bank account so that once they have received
the forms they require, then they will ask for the clearence of the funds
and transfer them into my internet account. They sent me the forms through Email attachments, and I went ahead and filled them out, and instead of emailing them back signed and with informations, I emailed
the Bank manager whose name is JAMES CRAWFORD and told him
I would fax the forms to him. I went down to fax the forms only to be told that they won’t go through that they needed the international code.
So I came back home and did some research on my own through the
International Fraudwatch/Alert and found nothing. So I went ahead
and googled the address of the Bank and up came EMAIL SCAM.
I went ahead and Emailed Mr. Crawford back and explained my situation and also found that the ADDRESS WAS A SCAM, and the
I was going to report him. I received an Email back today, telling me
that they had used the Banks address to impersonate it, but guaranteed me that this was no scam and gave me another number
to fax my papers. So I went back online and enter the address again
and found a webpage with 40,000 plus address’ for the Royal Bank Of
Scotland in and around the London area.. I also looked up the phone
number and it is valiad. So my question is should I pursue this and
send them the forms? I already reported the Email to the International
Fraudwatch. The forms just asked for my signature to open up the account and my address. I hope some one can shed some light on
this forme. Out of all the Emails I receive about Lotteries and having Won, One is bound to be real don’t you think?

This one i checked out weeks ago it is scam

ignore the email completely. don’t fill out any forms. don’t ring them. delete the email. if you progress they may trick you into draining your current bank account.

That was very unwise thing to do.

This is a scam and it is spam.
In any case, do you really think that the RBS has spare cash to give away at the moment? I think not.

Any email from any bank asking for personal details of any sort is likely to be spam. Don’t even read it let alone reply to it! Filter such emails straight into the trash.

That message is both a fake and an outright fraud. Don’t give the phishers any of your personal information at all. Spam that scam message straight into oblivion right away. This is one lottery you’ll never win because it’s “bogus.”

Another thing, the phishers telling you to “keep this lottery information confidential” would indicate to you not to say anything about this to anybody until they have finished scamming you.

Please leave your answer in the comments! Thanks.

Seems like a 100% genuine SCAM. DO NOT fall for it.

Sounds pretty real to me. And what is the worst that can happen if you send them the letter? If I were you I’d close the topic incase it is real and someone tries to copy your codes.

How can you send a fax from a fax machine to an email address?

fax

My Question: How can you send a fax from a fax machine to an email address?
My office has a traditional fax machine hooked up to the phone line. I want to know if it’s possible to send a fax from that machine and receive it via email. I’d prefer it if this could be done without buying a new fax machine. Ideally I’d like some service that would give me a phone number then forward all faxes sent to that number to an email address .

I do exactly what you’re asking about all the time, but maybe one better. I use a service from FaxLogic called “Personal 100 Pro”. Their “standard” service will do exaclty what you’re describing (a dedicated fax number that delivers faxes to one or more email addresses). But their pro service actually eliminates your analog phone line and replaces it with a little “adapter” device that connects it to your Internet service, turning your existing fax machine into a scanner. It still works like it always has (insert a document, dial the fax number, hit send), but it’s now also a smart digital device. One of the things you can then do is scan from your machine directly to your email. Both services are low cost: starting at /month for standard and /month for pro. And since pro eliminates your dedicated fax line, you actually save money with that option. Check it out…

How can I send free Faxes to a 866 fax machine? – Fax Email

fax email

Question by Edward: How can I send free Faxes to a 866 fax machine?
I have a need to “SEND ONLY” about 50 pages of faxes per month. My destination is ONLY a toll free 866 number. I will never send long distance or receive faxes. Any options available without having to pay per page or per month? I dont mind paying a small fee for the service, but to pay 15 cents per page for a toll free fax see excessive! I do not have a home phone line nor a fax machine, so I am looking for an email or another eletronic option. Thanks! (not sure why I need to even send faxes in this day and age, but alas I do!)
Don’t forget, I do not have a home phone line…so MS FAX isn’t an option. Thanks

Selected answer:

Answer by justme
Windows has a fax program included in the accessories. You can set it up and send the faxes through your computer.

Answer by Matt Gerchow
RingCentral can hook you up.

for Send only, I think there is a free one out there, but they are not going to let you get 50 faxes a month out.

compare em all here http://www.fax-number.net
