There is no such thing. Flat fee covers only incoming faxes. For outgoing faxes, you have to pay extra.

ok. So we’ve had wireless internet for a while and have had no problems with it in the past. We just got a fax machine and now every time we make/receive a call, the internet cuts out. I was wondering if there was anything that I could do, or if it was even linked to the new arrival of the fax machine. Any help would be appreciated!!

wireless interference on Gigahertz 2.4. Change the frequency on your wireless router.
If it’s a land line, and no wireless phone, then you probably don’t have a DSL filter installed. you need that.

Basically wireless networks and cordless phones operate on the same frequency band (2.4GHz), with the exception of some recent high-end models (5GHz and 2.8GHz respectively). This can lead to interference, especially if two devices are operating on the same channel.
If you can, set the wireless router and the phone to different channels – you should use either 1, 6, or 11 as they are the only non-overlapping channels in the 2.4GHz band.
Some cordless phones have something called ‘spread spectrum’ technology – basically they broadcast across multiple channels simultaneously. My experience with these phones is that they will absolutely murder a wireless network any time they are in use, and there’s little that can be done about it except to get rid of the phone.

If it’s just from adding the fax, and you have DSL, the fax machine may not have a filter on it (check to see if you plugged the fax in directly, or you plugged the cord into a filter, and then into the phone line.)
Adding a fax machine wouldn’t change anything in the 2.4GHz radio range, which is where the wireless part works (and where the channels are). You change channels in your wireless router – connect to it and look for the page with the channel listed. It should be a drop-down.

I have not received a bill from my car loan company since I moved. They have my new address and this has been clarrified since I have called numerous times and sent certified letters trying to get them to send a bill. I pay off of my last check amount before they stopped sending me my bill and I dont even know if that is accurate. Each time I call they say they will send one but I dont get one. Is this legal? Can a loan company not send a statement or a bill. I have no clue what my pay off is so I cant refinance with another company and they wont fax that info or email it they say they can only send it by mail, which they are not doing. The worse part is that they are a reputable HUGE financial company. Help!

I have never heard of a car loan company sending monthly payment statements. Typically you buy the auto, your payment is xxxx dollars a month, and you pay it every month without receiving monthly statements. As this is a large company, you are ruining your credit as we speak. Keep sending the monthly payment you started sending until you get this resolved. If you dont, your next purchase (interest rate) will be higher

Yes, it is legal, but depending on what state you live in, you normally have the right to request a paper bill. Do they have a website where the bill is posted to? My cable company doesn’t send paper bills, they use this stupid web site. In my experience, I have sometimes chosen to receive only electronic bills to cut down on paper, but normally that happens only if I CHOOSE it.
I would suggest to keep calling because it will probably cost too much to get a lawyer (although that may be worth it in the end). When you call, keep asking to speak to a supervisor until you get someone who will not only send a bill, but will overnight it as well as fax it.
You may be able to get a loan elsewhere and pay this loan off. Loan companies (especially mortgage) hate it when you “re-finance”.

I work for a large financial company in the Auto division. I can say that is is legal that we don’t send a bill. You signed a contract when you purchased your vehicle stating that you own the responsibility of making your payments on time every month. The issue may be with the post office. When you submit an address change with the post office, all major companies generally have access to this database, and cross check the validity of the addresses of their customers. If the company has not been able to verify your address with the post office, your address may auto-revert back to the old address, based on the post-offices database.. This is really annoying for us employees and customers. It may not be your fault. I would call your auto company every month until this is resolved, because eventually they will be in tune with the post office, and it won’t “auto-correct” itself. You may want to submit another “change of address” form with the post office. I’ve seen alot of weird things happen

Can’t say. Don’t know what the problem is.
Could just be a software/driver issue. Lexmarks are good machines, but not for high use (that is personal experience).

find the folder the pics are in, click edit, select all, delete

Assuming that you have the pic’s in a folder (all in one place) open the folder and click on the 1st picture, hold the shift key down and click on the last picture, all should be selected, right click anywhere in the selected area and choose delete from the menu that comes up.
You will ge a “are you sure” message, just OK it and you’re done.

Be careful. Some pictures come with the operating system.
Search for *.JPG and delete those to begin with. Then check Picture and Fax viewer for different extensions and delete the files you don’t want.
Basically the graphics are not “in” Picture and Fax viewer, they are just on your drive somewhere and Windows calls the program to open the files.

You should be able to go to *Start …. *Control Panel…..*Add or remove programs then find the fax there and remove it. Good luck!

click start > go to run > then type msconfig on the start up tab uncheck all items except for antivirus…

replace the modem or better yet just install it and delete the file from the start programs so you don’t have to see it. It would still be in there but you won’t have to access it anyways.

This is not a joke. There is a fax machine that keeps calling my number like every 2 minutes. I have the number off my caller id but 411 cannot find the number in their database. my phone company says they are not able to block the call. i tried searching on the internet but it wants me to pay 15 bux to find out information about the number. so i ask here first. anyone have any ideas?

What has happened is that someone has set upa fax machine to call the number automatically. Usually there is a timeout number of tries (usually 5 or so) and then it will say that the fax failed.
In the meantime, what you can do is to take the number and call it by dialing ONE NUMBER off. Example, the fax incoming is from 555-1111. You can dial in on 555-1112 or maybe even 555-1110. If someone connects, ask if it is an office and ask if thier fax number is 555-1111. If so, you’ve got the person on the phone who can make the change.
Another way is to call a friend at work who has a fax and ask them to fax a note to the number explaining that they have dialed an incorrect number. This alwyas works for me.

there is a do-not-call-list for fax-number too, but it would take to long for it to take effect! yes, the best way to do it, send a fax, or several faxes to this number and have them stop this harassment! I have all my numbers registered with the do-not-call-list, including my fax-number and cell-number!!
