Ask by Brian Prius: Is Jimmy Johns french bread dairy free and egg free?
After I waited for email replies to no avail, on December 15, 2010 I sent a letter to Jimmy Johns with delivery confirmation (so I know they received my letter) asking if the french bread contained dairy or egg and I never received a reply back. I gave them my address, my phone number, my fax number, and my email, but never heard from them at all. I also faxed them on January 12, 2011 and still no reply. I have asked the people in the store, but they say the bread dough is premade and they don’t kow the ingredients. Does anyone here know? I am a vegan and I get a sandwich with only vegetables, no cheese or mayo, so I can have a vegan sandwich.

Answer:

Answer by Mykeyel S
not found a recipe yet except homemade that does not use egg and milk to make the batter to go on the bread .

I’d bet, if you thought about what the words really mean in English, you’d be better able to find them in French, but there’s probably some site that translates technical words for you.

Or, you could just go with the obvious, which is to spell as if they were always French, and add a le or la in front!
