Fax Service: My identity was stolen, and I can’t check my credit due to having a mortgage?
My identity was stolen before I turned 18 (even though having a mortgage at 18 is illegal). I know that I have to report this to the credit bureau and prove that I am who I am and that I am only 18, but after that, what do I do? Is my credit wiped? And also, I’m trying to figure out how to send everything to the credit bureau. I thought I could fax it, but it’s saying online that I have to call, tell them, then MAIL everything to them and that’s a ridiculous hassle for something I’ve been trying to get fixed for months.
As another note, when I go to check my credit and say I never had a mortgage, it’s wrong and shuts me out. I wasn’t approved to get a bank account, which is how we discovered this issue in the first place.

Every time you check your credit report online you are asked a series of trick questions that state things like: Which of the following banks did you open a mortgage with? This is used to stop other people from checking your credit report. Just click the “None of the above” option and you’ll get your report.

You don’t have a mortgage, it’s just part of trick questions.
Go back to annual credit report.com and get your three reports.
If it’s your first time, you might have to get the 877 number off the website and call to have reports mailed to you.
Sounds like you really need to get them to mail your reports to you.
Don’t do it online..
Are you SURE your identity has been stolen? Or are you just misunderstanding the security questions they ask you when you try to check your credit online? If you were given a multiple choice question asking which bank you have a mortgage at, one of the choices should have been “none of the above”. That’s a typical security question — someone who’s pretending to be you might choose the wrong answer, but YOU know you really DON’T have a mortgage.
It sounds like you *do* need to actually call the credit bureau. How can simply making a phone call be a “ridiculous hassle” when you say you’ve been trying to get this fixed for months already?
If someone took out a mortgage under your identity, then of course the online system thinks you DO have a mortgage tied to that social security number and is not going to let you go any further online. The online computer checking system sees a mortgage under your name (that someone took out illegally), sees that you are saying “I never had a mortgage” and comes to the conclusion that those things don’t match so you are stuck. You are going to need to call them and send in hard copies of paperwork. It is worth the hassle to clear it up.

i use a lexmark 5400 printer/fax, when i try to print a email the print is unreadable, very small and looks like it’s in code. any sugestions??

I was having trouble to. Mine was one of the update’s from microsoft that was making my print unreadable. I went to printer preview, and saw there were different options for my printer for some reason. So I clicked on a the different icon for lexmark and it worked. Try that….and if that doesn’t work, go into your control panel and look up printers and see what files are there. If not, you can always download your printer software again. Good luck.

Most printer allow for printing at a larger scale. Check your users manual for instructions. If a printer program presents you with a dialog box prior to printing see if there is a setting that allows you to print the page at 150 or maybe 200 percent larger in the case of an email document. This would often be known as scaled printing.

I was just laid off Jan. 6, and ever since then I have been calling the CA Unemployment Insurance phone number (1-800-300-5616). Every time I call I hear a message saying that all personnel are busy and for me to call back later. I have called easily over 100 hundred times in the past week and have not once gotten through. According to their website, I’m not able to file a claim online, by fax, or mail because I have worked outside of CA in the past 18 months. Therefore, the ONLY way to file a claim is by phone, yet after over 100 times no one is answering.
Is anyone else having as much trouble as me? Does anyone know of anything I can do, other than to keep calling? I seriously feel I have better luck calling into a radio contest than to collect my unemployment insurance

I have had many problems calling Ca EDD but you just need to keep calling, if you are lucky enough to get the other recorded woman then she allows you to push the appropriate numbers, but when you do get to the place you want to be if the system thinks the wait will be more than 10 minute wait it will not let you hold, so just when you think you made it she says good bye. You just have to keep calling, I used two different phones at the same time last time i got through.

Extended Benefits are unemployment benefits paid weekly in Pa once you exhausted all other benefits. You must activity search for work (2 )times per week and sumit weekly your work search activties. IN PERSON is the most suggested way however most listing in my local newspaper either want you to apply buy fax or online (and do not give you a location there fore making hard to apply in person. I was wondering if anyone else is having a diffcult time with this type of unemployment or the “in person” part of this mail in weekly form and how your handling it

Yeah I’m in my first week. I sent in my form last week and didn’t receive payment yet. Have you sent in the form? How long have you been waiting? I completely understand what you are saying about “in person”. It’s retarded! Seriously, how many jobs allow you to come in and apply?? These people really need to wake up. Well, I hope you get your money. I do put down that I went in one job and the other one I applied online for. I had to stalk these people to even get their address and when I got there they shooed me away and told me I’m supposed to apply online!

Has anybody here have an idea about Open University in Mindanao State University Marawi City-Main Campus Philippines? Do you have any experience that you can share with me? How was the experience? Do you their contact details (telephone numbers, fax numbers,email add)? I couldn’t find their contact Nos in their website. I emailed them for a lot of times but nobody has repied yet.

Unless you used Jackson Hewitt, or another tax service there is no way. And since the IRS is a government entity they need written proof, you are you, and you requested the tax report.
When I requested my tax report, I tried to use www.irs.gov but all they had was the form to request the report. Its government they have one way of releasing tax reports and mailing or faxing is it.

if you did your own taxes there is no way to get a copy with out go to the irs!!!!

For your 2006 tax return, if it was self prepared, no way. If someone else prepared it, check with them to see if they have a copy.
For your 2007 tax return, make a copy of it this time before sending.

It is a “Brother” brand fax machine. All of a sudden we aren’t receiving faxes…We can send out faxes but when someone is trying to fax us, it says “Receiving Pg 1″ on ours but on the sender’s fax machine it comes up with a “communication error.” We have been able to receive 1 or 2 faxes since this problem started, and we are able to print off the machine…..But does anyone know why we aren’t receiving faxes?
It’s been having the error for a few different senders….

double check the connection line… was it only 1 sender or different sender?

If the fax is connected to a computer, turn it off and delete it from Control Panel printers and faxes. Reboot your computer and turn the fax back on. Windows will find the hardware for the fax and install it. A shot in the dark but it may be worth a try.

I’m trying to install a printer (HP Color Laserjet 2550L) on my network. I’m using an Xterasys XP-113 print server. After installing the print server I was prompted to go to Start > Printers and Faxes
I selected Add New Printer…
In the manual it says for me to add as a local printer.. I did this it takes me to a list of printer which doesnt have my printer on it.
Now what I’m asking is, Is there a compatible printer with the same drivers and properties as the HP Color Laserjet 2550L, that may be on the list ( sorry wasnt able to copy the list)
I’m using windows xp pro sp2.
Also would like to apologize to Dr. House for the crappy email I sent him. Even though his answer to my earlier question was very insulting.

If the printer is not directly connected to the computer then you need to choose “network printer”, not “local printer”.

when you get that list there is also a button that says have disk
if you have the cd that goes with that printer stick in and choose have disk
if you dont have it go the hp website download the driver click have disk and point to that folder

If you’re installing it as a local printer, you’ll need to uncheck the “Automatically detect and install…” box under Local Printer, and click next.
Create a new printer port using the information supplied with your print server (likely a standard tcp/ip port).
For the driver, if you don’t have the driver cd from HP, you can download it from HP at http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?&lang=en&cc=us&pnameOID=388396&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=388394&lang=en&cc=us

They show up on fax viewer,and they don’t have a link (or url or whatever its called), therefore I cannot show anyone. How do I fix this? I really would like to show my online buddies my pics…..Serious question here b/c Im IT challenged at the best of times.

Make sure that they are in JPEG or JPG format.Try opening them with any Image editing program such as Adobe photoshop or any then save them in the mentioned format.I’m sure it’ll work out.If you cant do it find someone you trust and who can do it to help you.You can even send me a file with your photos and I can help.

My advice – Use Flickr.com. With flickr.com you can upload your pictures, and it has a built in ‘friend’ system so you can keep up with your friends and any new pictures they upload.
You should be able to log into the site, upload your pictures from your hard drive, and then they will be viewable to anyone on-line when you send them the link to your Flickr.com

My brother was driving my car 7yrs ago. He was stopped at a stop light when a drunk driver hit the car behind my brother, and that car smashed into my car. It was clearly not my brothers fault. His and now my problem was I just bought the car, and had not received a 2nd insurance card, I only had the paper the insurance company faxed me at the car dealership, when I bought it, and I had it in my wallet. So my brother got a ticket for no proof of insurance.
The next day I went to my insurance company, and got a letter saying my car was insured, and my brother was allowed to drive my car. The ticket was dropped. A year later my brother moved back to Chicago, where we are from. My brother turned in his Nevada DL for an IL DL, and was given a IL DL. That was over 5yrs ago. My brother was stopped yesterday, for a out tail light. Even though he hit the side of the light and it popped back on, they ran his DL. It came back that his Nevada DL was suspended because of no proof of insurance.
I have a letter proof from my insurance, that at the time of the accident I had, and my brother had insurance.
Here is the problem: The police said they will not accept a letter from my insurance company, saying we were insured. They said I need to get in touch with nevada DMV and fix it with them. How Do I do that?
I live in IL, Chicago. So How do I get in touch with Nevada DMV, from Chicago?

You have to get in contact with the Nevada DMV because when all this happened and your brother was cleared, the Nevada DMV dropped the ball meaning that they did not enter this information into their computer system and that is why your brother is still getting hassled…
