By William: How long does it take to get access financial aid money after you send in the award letter?
I go to post online and and had to sign and fax the award letter which was back on May 2nd, I received an email from the financial aid company saying there was access funds, I got that email On the 15th. Will I be getting a check from the school? If so when would I likely get it? I’m moving In two weeks and don’t want the check going to my old address.

At my college . The day i start classes is the day I got my refund .

Although it is probably too late for this semester, go to your school’s student website or financial aid office, and fill out the paperwork for a direct deposit of your financial aid refund. Most schools issue their refund checks at the end of the add drop week. If you have direct deposit, the amount will show up in your bank account on the first Monday or Tuesday AFTER the first week of school is over. If you did not request a deposit, the school will send out a check on the same day, which will arrive in the mail within two weeks of the send date.
I typically advise students without stable addresses, to leave their parents’ address as their permanent mailing address. If you didn’t do that, it is possible that the check will be sent to your old address. Make sure that you file a forwarding address form with your post office, and you should still get your check fairly quickly.

i was in the process of getting letters of recommendation from 3 different people
i haven’t got a denied acceptance letter yet but my online status said Denied College
i would have all three by monday at the latest and could fax them then
i checked my online status maby 4 hours previous and it still said pending
so i’ve been denied for only a few hours
can i still send my letters of recommendation and see what happens
or should i call first and ask them will they take them into consideration ..and then decide

There’s no law against sending more letters of recommendation after you have been denied, but in all honesty, it would be pointless and unlikely to change their minds.

Is it formal to send a job transfer request via e-mail? I am working in a company where I was assigned far from our place of residence, this was supposedly a temporary assignment for me, but it was almost a year now since I was transferred here, our company has a branch near to our place and I made a letter requesting for a transfer in location, I have mailed it through internet since our central office is quite far from our office where I am assigned now, do I need to send my letter via fax, to make it considerably formal?

Its perfectly acceptable to send a job transfer request via email. If you haven’t heard anything in 7 days, follow it up with a phone call.

Both? What about email? Should I email the letter? Should I just call her? I have the letter ready. It’s going to be awkward. She knows I don’t like her and she’s going to think I’m doing this to be spiteful, but I’m not. I swear!

Tell your boss personally, you want to leave a good impression when you leave. Tell her and you can also give her a copy of the letter. Tell her you are sorry you are leaving, but ……… whatever reason. Even if you don’t like her, try to do the right thing. What if by some chance you need her as a reference!!!

First a phone call, followed by the letter. Ask her which would be the better option for her, email or fax. Good luck.

It is from the Shopping Group Agency,the website is www.shoppinggroup.com. I checked them out online before I cashed the cashiers check for $ 4968.00. Boy am I glad I did. The checks are from a real bank but the banks website say that this company is using bogus checks and not to cash them. The company tells you to wire a certain amount of money to certain people and to do this twice. The first amount is for 2640.00 dollars the second is for1320.00 and then you are suppose to go to Wal-mart and the Gap and purchase something for 40.00 and 50.00, then fax them a copy of the results of your findings on sales reps attitudes. I want to warn anybody else off of doing this. Please do not fall for these scams. You will have to come up with the money you spend and that is alot of money to have to pay back.It sounded to good to be true to me and it was. Please check out everything you can about a company before acting. I checked the BBB and got online to look up the bank and called them .

I’m glad you didn’t fall for this scam. If any “job opportunity” requires you to pay something up front, run away from it. Unfortunately, there are desperate people who will try anything to get out of debt and they usually winding up deeper in the hole.

Some may say “Final Notice”. I work at a car dealership and we’re trying to figure out who’s sending letters to our customers implying they have no warranty and must buy one immediately.

i have received numerous letters offering to extend the warranty on my cars but i just throw them in the garbage. they usually give a 800 # to call. they send them to owners of all makes of cars-where they get the information-i do not know.they do not make you buy it-it is just an offer.

sound like another scam. just like in banking, we see them all the time. they prey on the dumb, desperate, and elderly. nobody can make you buy a warranty. i hope you track them down, before they scam to many people.

There are a lot of companies that specialize in this and actually I know some people who’ve worked at a place doing this and made huge money.
It’s not really a scam, but it’s in the grey area of “extended warranty” that is usually a waste of money.
The company mailing your customers is buying data lists from your dealership or its parent company, or perhaps the financing company.

These warrantys are from individual companies. Not from the factories. Just ignore them.

but they wont take emailed documents (because they don’t trust them). unfortunately faxes are not working (yes its true). i don’t expect help but please just laugh with me. i just don’t know wat to say/do

I’m not exactly sure of the question but if you want to keep your faxes confidential then you will want to get yourself an online fax number.
Then you faxes will come directly to your email instead of being accessible by anyone in an office setting.
