Q&A: Were is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer located on my hard drive in windows xp?
I want to open it using visual basic but i don’t know the path
Shell(“C:\???\Windows Picture and Fax Viewer”)
this is the command line to run it:
rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\System32\shimgvw.dll,ImageView_Fullscreen path-to-picture

Question: Where is my Windows picture and fax viewer located?
I was wondering because I had a picture that I had to choose “open with” and of course the appilcation I chose to open with was Windows ipicture and fax viewer. So I was wondering where this application is located.
It’s not a stand alone applications. It runs from the DLL shimgvw.dll.
You can run it from Start-Run like this:
“rundll32.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\
shimgvw.dll,
ImageView_Fullscreen”
(don’t type the quotes)
You can type the full path of an image to open that image after the command line above.
Not sure why it’s like that, must be a Microsoft thing…

I know it can be done, I have seen my coworker James do it a few time before. But hes on vacation now. So I cant ask him right now.
Eventuly I would like to fax sirloin steaks as well.

you stick the box on the scanner, put down the lid and be sure to squeeze as hard as you can. sometimes you gotta get a sledge hammer. as soon as it’s 5 mm thick you can send it (i think 5 mm is about 1/8 inch but i’m not sure)
