By Tri-State Construction: CAn I use the majic jack service as a fax line?
I’m planning to buy majic jack service but only if we’ll be able to use it for sending & receiveing fax. The official site says that sometimes you can do it. what does that mean?

it means that it is not designed to be used for fax/data transmissions…

the call quality is not sufficient with most VoIP providers to be able to transmit faxes, or connect a dial up modem…

if you use DSL i would recommend that you use the voice side of your DSL line for the fax line, then you can use VoIP for your voice lines… or search for an e-fax alternative… i would not recommend magic jack, or any other VoIP provider for use with a fax machine…
