The internet is terrific and full of great ideas and comanies but if nobody gets to your idea or comany your sunk. I have a very targeted audience junk yards body shops mechanics and used car dealers. Having next to no cost because the product is developed, income would be realized immediately from subscriptions. The affordable ways I have found to reach my targets are FAX BLAST I know quazy legal but my start up has no assets yet. PHONE BLASTS appeal to me. Does anyone have ways that have worked with limited funds. Limited means I can get my hands on 50 to a 100K private money to start. Thanks

Whilst blasting mailing lists and such maybe a good idea if your going to pay time and time again for peoples details i think you would be much better off getting your website known on the internet. You could get good first page positioning and pay nothing for your visitors, which is surely a much viable option for any internet business? Good search engine optimization (seo) for your website and knowing things like getting free visitors to your web page should be your top priority to getting your internet business profiting the right way. They produce video tutorials on seo, website visitors, maximizing your sales and getting repeat customers to come back time and time again.

There are SO many ways to market your company without hardly any money at all. 50 – 100K?! You can do all kinds of things with that kind of money!
I suggest you do not do that though. Use that money for site development or something useful – you don’t have to spend a lot for advertising / marketing! If anything, I would limit your start up expenses to under ,000! And that is if you even want to spend that much.
The site listed below has many ideas on how to market in inexpensive and free ways. You might even want to check out the free ebook there – as it will help you come up with creative marketing ideas that will fit your business idea. There is even an article about the top 5 ways to get people to your site – for free.

Hi all and thank you for looking at my question.
I have opened a computer repair and support company in Miami 6 months a go, most of my clients are word of mouth, which is good and I am happy with that as it means we are doing a good job, and the majority of clients are happy with our services.
We would also like to advertise and get fresh new clients to extend our networking, unfortunately we do not really have a buget for advertising, or heavy expensive advertising, we have tried :
1. fax advertising
2. free directories
3. google
4. newsletters
5. flyers
with all of this, we have not yet breaked the ice, nothing has really really changed in the volume of interest.
I was wondering if anyone had a really good success with some sort of advertising? Radio? telemarketing? anything that can be useful please share.

Marketing Research began using Paper Surveys, then began to Mail their surveys out. Once the telephone became wide-spread, the use of Call Centers emerged to conduct Telephone Interviews. Lastly, the Internet has become the top choice for researchers, but when did that transition truly begin?
A little technical and broad, but I’d like estimates (or exact dates in year) as to when these transitions took place.
I’m also not including fax, because that is a medium point between telephone and internet. This methodology wasn’t very prominent either.

and answer the calls, scheduling & making sure they get paid. What do I need to do. I will use my home office & they will supply their own tools & be contractors. What do I need in my office. Phone, fax, copier, calender, invoices, envelopes. It seems simple what am I forgetting. I need a way to keep track of customers & have never used a computer to do that. Is that the best way? or is it Ok to use a notebook?

I own a computer consulting firm. I use Service CEO but there are numerous software tools like this to integrate things like Service Schedulng, Project Management, Invoicing, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), and Service Contract Management. A notebook would be just fine in running these.
You might want to look into ne of these types of packages. Also, you should develop a very good sub-contractor agreement and have a local attorney review it for you and have all your subs read and sign it. They will be representing YOUR company and interests and not their own. The clients you acquire are yours and you need to protect your interests.

You should get some accounting software, such as quickbooks, you will need to get liability insurance, you need to get a business telephone number, you should also get your self set up with a web site and email address for your own domain. The quickest thing to do is go to the yahoo small business site pick a domain name and sign up for one of their packages. It is the most inexpensive domain registration/email/website combo I have seen.
Very important, go find a CPA to use for your taxes, and as an accounting consultant

You definitely need a computer with a good antivirus. I recommend Kaspersky. First, I would suggest you do a system restore to wipe the entire hard drive clean before you install anything. Phones, faxes, copiers, and calenders would be very beneficial. Might I suggest making yourself a business card for good measure? Also, a secondary e-mail address, some consultants, and a sponsor could help. Do you have good interpersonal skills and a patent lawyer? That could be another asset.

I am not just soliciting. It’s a legit company that will follow all FCC rules.

Best check the FCC regulations first as I believe it is illegal to send unsolicited faxes (unless the law has changed) before you get started.

Fax these day are useless…. i would say that the better way for you do the promo are.
offer the software combine with others HR relate.
write a blogs about the software and post it to Cnet.
I think the effective way is write the blogs and let ppl know what can it do and what can it get most out of the investment if they chose to,beneficial of the software,good luck with your business.

Regardless of whether it gets read or not, it may not even be legal unless these are companies with which you have an EBR (established business relationship) or which has specifically requested your faxes.
The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Federal Communications Commission (FCC) rules generally prohibit most unsolicited facsimile (fax) advertisements. In addition, the Junk Fax Prevention Act, passed by Congress in 2005, directs the FCC to amend its rules adopted pursuant to the TCPA regarding fax advertising. The FCC’s revised rules: (1) codify an established business relationship (EBR) exemption to the prohibition on sending unsolicited fax advertisements; (2) define EBR for unsolicited fax advertisements; (3) require the sender of fax advertisements to provide specified notice and contact information on the fax that allows recipients to “opt-out” of any future faxes from the sender; and (4) specify the circumstances under which a request to “opt-out” complies with the Act.

When I get a solicitation over the phone, fax, or my cell….that company goes straight on my
“I will never do business with these companies” list.
Nothing pisses me off more than phone solicitation….I expect many more feel the same way.
direct mail is the way to go….the mailbox is the fisrt place people go when they get home.

However, I would suggest against fax marketing and use the more modern email marketing. http://www.Email-Marketing-Options.com reviews the top email marketing providers.
