how to use the fax option on a cell phone

fax computer

Ask by The E: how to use the fax option on a cell phone
My cell phone has some sort of fax capability. Unfortunately I’m not sure how to use it. I don’t have a printer hooked up to my computer and I need to print off an email. Is there a way to send the email to my cell phone then send it to a fax machine? If it helps my cell phone is a Motorola Razr V3m.

An e-mail and a fax are two different animals. If you receive a fax on your phone, you’d need to download that file SOMEHOW to a computer with a printer (usually via USB cable or Bluetooth, or by copying it to a thumb drive), so that it can convert the file to a readable format. Of course, if you want to send an e-mail to a printer, you’ll have to get IT to a computer with a printer, too, but the formatting is different.

As to getting a fax to another computer – I’d suggest e-mailing it directly; you might contact a place like Kinko’s and ask if they have an e-mail to which you could send it to be printed; you could also send it to a friend’s e-mail if your friend has a printer you can borrow. You can also copy it to a thumb drive and take THAT to a place with a printer.

Q&A: I don’t get ‘send as attachment’ as an option when I try to send an email.?

fax email

By Cindy: I don’t get ‘send as attachment’ as an option when I try to send an email.?
When I go to File>Send To, the only option I have is to ‘fax recipient’. I don’t get the option to ‘send as attachment’ or ‘mail recipient. I have XP operating system. My email is through Yahoo.

Windows needs a local program to send the attachment to. On its own, web mail services do not do that.

I was able to find some software that claims to do just what you want.

I have a Small Business, is Ring Central Office a Good Option for Me?

fax email

Ask by Jonah Montgomery: I have a Small Business, is Ring Central Office a Good Option for Me?
I’ve been hearing about Ring Central and some of the features they offer would work well for my small business (the virtual assistant, fax/email/etc) not sure though how it is in real life. Anyone with experience?

Thanks

Answer:

Answer by mykah
I actually started using Ring Central specifically for their “auto receptionist”. I just wanted my business to seem a bit bigger than me sitting at my house on my computer!!

I’ve been using the service for a few months now – and have the phone management and 800 number as well as the virtual fax. Its actually drawn several compliments from friends who know how and where I work…they think I’ve gotten an office!

Oh, and I got a free trial by using a Ring Central coupon I found here http://www.discountspies.com/ringcentral-coupon/. It made it really easy to decide if it was for me or not since I didn’t have to pay anything if I didn’t like it.

Best of luck. I’d definitely recommend at least trying Ring Central Office as it really is an inventive solution for people with small businesses, like us!
