Fax Service: Why is Windows Picture and Fax Viewer opening up blank windows when I click on an image in a web page?
In the top left hand corner of the window I see this:

Two things to check for:
1) Make sure you’re not printing to the fax option part for your printer, but to the printer itself. Check your default printer selection.
2) Check to make sure your required fax setup settings in the printer are set and configured (fax phone number & other options are sometimes required to be set before the device is properly enabled for use).

My Question: Why is cvs charging $ 1.49 per fax page wirh a toll free 800number?
I did not see a post for a fax price,so I had them fax 9 pages to a 800 number and it cost me $ 13.41. I ask why so high and she said that’s what they are being charged even with a 800 number .800 # are toll free,right?
They charge this rate simply because they can. Sending a fax to a toll-free number literally costs them nothing except the labor of the person that’s putting your fax in the machine and taking your money. But for people that rarely need to send a fax, there’s not much choice, so they go to FedEx or CVS or a “postal center”, where they have a fax machine and send for or per page. They figure if you need to send or receive faxes more than a few times a year, you’d have your own fax machine. But since you don’t you’re willing to pay for the use of theirs. Personally, I use a service from FaxLogic that costs me a month (they have cheaper options, all the way down to , but I like the particular set of features I get at the rate). In any case, I use it with an all-in-one printer/copier/scanner/fax machine; it works just like having a regular phone line at a fraction of the cost. I don’t think this is a good option if you only need to fax once or twice a year, but at .41 per transaction, it doesn’t take too many faxes to cover the FaxLogic service.

my fax machine is not working properly, canon can’t help me they sent me to a company that charges $ 150 an hour just to look at the fax. My machine prints out a full black page whenever you make a copy or printout a confirmation page, It prints out a completely black page. Does anybody know why??? and how to fix it. Please no silly answers I need helpful answers…Thanks

the first thing to try is to clean the scanner, if that does not work in maybe the power supply is faulty

yes youdo. many company employees share fax machines., they don’t want to be sifting through and come across a resume that isn’t for them. also if something happens to fax when it is coming in they can call you and have you resend.

Use the standard cover letter that always accompanies a resume. A fax cover sheet is good if you know exactly who the resume is meant to go to.

Yes, it makes it look more formal that way and also shows your interest better.
Just go to Monster.com and use one of their cover letter. copy the same words with the job title you are applying for!

Word has a template for a fax cover page.
And don’t forget about the cover letter for your resume, which is completely different from the fax cover page.

We have a Dell 1600N multifunctional printer that has a fax machine function as well. Today it has started printing multiple copies of each faxed page that it received. It started out printing 4 or 5 copies and now is stuck on one page and I am up to about 30 copies so far and have had to just open a door on the printer to stall the printer from working. I have tried clearing and resetting, that didn’t work. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in, that didn’t work. Is there anything I can do? I can’t get any of the subsequent faxes because it is stuck on that one page…..HELP

uninstall all the software for it. do this in the add/remove program in the control panel. or use the uninstall option in the program menu. after this, reboot the system and reinstall all the software again. it should then be reset. you’ll need to re enter the faxing info again. you can try to reinstall the software and drivers without uninstall first. sometimes it work. it will overwrite the software that is install.

When go to a computer that is connected to your fax machine (since it’s a dell multifunctional, you CAN do that). First off, check the fax/printer queue. It may just be stuck or be set to print multiples of that paper. If not, try reinstalling the drivers on your computer.

Since you have tried the power cycle by shutting it off and turning it back on then you should uninstall the machine and reinstall it. That usually takes care of the little issues that they have. GL

Just created my free local listings website. 2 questions:
1. how to print my web page without truncating text on the right side of page?
2. At the start, it asks for your company name, phone and fax. This info appears on each of the 5 pages. The Contact Us page already has this info. So it appears twice on that page (once and once again underneath the first info).

To answer #1. Don’t click on the print icon to print. Instead click “File” >>> Page Setup >>Then set the orientation to Landscape. That will get the whole page.

Remember that you have to have these mounts custom fitted to your 1911. The frame rails need to be drilled and tapped and plenty of other machine work on your pistol. They will not work on other pistols only the one you buy it for.

I want to send a fax of a form I filled out. For some reason the company accepts faxes for this form, but not an emailed scan.
What I would usually do is scan it, insert it into a Word document, and fax it using my fax modem. However, the last time I did it this way, I sent a test fax to myself, and it looked awful. It had noise and seemed compressed. It was barely legible.

how do you fax it from word? do you send it to your fax where you have your choice to select a printer?
if you can, then you should have the option from other programs. send it from a graphics program (like paint) if you can.
