My Question: My picture files used to open with WIndows Picture and Fax Viewer, now it opens with Paint?
I’ve checked the properties over and over again, it is set to open with windows picture and fax viewer, but it still opens with the stupid PAINT! This happened when I momentarily installed ACDSEE to resize several pics at once, so I tried uninstalling it, but it’s still the same. Help!

Did that and it still ain’t working. =(
Right click on whatever picture you want to open and select open with, click other, a list will come up and you can find the software you want to open it with. If you want to open all files of this type permanently, check the always box and hit apply.
Right clk a picture and select Open With. Now clk Browse and browse to the Pic / Fax Viewer and select it. Before closing the window, check the box that says: Always Open this file type with the selected program. (or words something like that) Problem solved! You have to do this with each pic file type. (.jpg / .gif etc.)
right click any picture file then click the properties option then select the open with option and select fax viewer and check the box clik ok button
You can choose the windows program to work with.Right click on the picture file you want to open while pressing the shift key.Below OPEN you will find the OPEN WITH option.A new window will open,find and select WINDOWS PICTURE AND FAX VIEWER,after selecting it,check the box saying ALWAYS OPEN THIS PROGRAM TO USE THESE FILES.Thats it.Hope this helps.
you should right click on the file and select open with, then choose the prgram you want the image opened with.

If you want Windows picture as default program for JPG, just right click to any jpg picture, choose open with and set it as “Always use selected program…”

Simple 
Go to any any window exept the Internet Explorer window and go to Tools > Folder Options > File Types > look for the file extension Photo Paint supports or go through them and you will see the Photo Paint icon > Click on it > Change(At the middle of the screen) > Change the program to Windows picture > OK.

Go to one of your pictures and right click it–> go to properties–> go to opens with–> and when you click on that link it will allow you to change it.

Delete coral photo paint if nothing else works,then reinstall it.But this time when you install it,when it ask to be default,check no.This will fix your problem.

I have changed the program that I view my photos with, by changing it on the desktop, but whenever I try to download an email attachment that is a picture, my paint shop pro opens. How can I get my computer to open the program in the microsoft picture and fax viewer?

Choose any picture that is already on your computer. Right click the file and choose “Open With”. Choose “Browse”. Find MS Picture and Fax Viewer and select the box near the bottom that says “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file.” Click OK and your done.
