Fax Service: does anyone have any negative feed back on a place called Krug auto sales in fairborn, ohio?
My buddy is about to buy a car from krug auto sales and they seem kind of shady. They wont drop the price on a car even though something is wrong with it plus they want to up the price if they do a car fax and up the price if they fix the car.I just figured id get on here and see if anyone has done buisness with them before and hear some testimonials

So why buy the car (or try to) if the deal sucks?

Uh…okay.

Google search the dealer or something.

Do all new computers have a place to plug in an Ethernet (DSL) wire for Internet?

Ask by jetengine767: Do all new computers have a place to plug in an Ethernet (DSL) wire for Internet?
Do you need a 56K Fax modem or wireless card in your computer to have a place to plug in the Ethernet cable or is that unrelated?

Good Answer:

Answer by Sammy
Wireless card is for awireless connection. 56k modems i dont believe have the place to plug in a eternet cable. Most new mother boards will have a ehternaet card built in. Check what your new computer has and find out.

Answer by sound_engg21
Ethernet is just one of the different ways your computer can connect to the internet. A fax modem and wireless card have nothing to do with the existence of your Ethernet port.

Using a fax modem and wireless card are 2 alternate methods to get connected to the internet. If you have a wireless card, you can connect to a wireless network and get connected to the world wide web. If you have a fax modem, you can setup a dial-up connection to connect to the internet.

Answer by Easton D
That is unrelated. The 56K fax modem requires a telephone line. The wireless card connects to wireless networks. To use an Ethernet cable, you need an Ethernet network interface card (NIC). Nowadays, however, most motherboards have Ethernet connectors, so you don’t need a separate card.

Answer by Nikolas S
If your computer is relatively new, chances are that you may have at least one Ethernet connection; just look in the back of your PC. As for the the wireless card, you will need it only if you are planning to go wireless, where in this case you will need a mode and and a router, where both of them will have an Ethernet connection.
Hope this helps.

Answer by dadimwit
I would say that almost every desktop computer now being sold will come with Ethernet. You may or may not find a modem, they’re becoming obsolete and are usually an option. Wireless cards are seldom found in desktop computers.
Most laptops now come with an ethernet connection and a wireless connection. Many also have a built in modem.

I need to send some information but I do not have a scanner and the recipient does not have a fax machine. Is there a place you can go to use a scanner and email??

Answer:

Answer by burbs630
Try Kinko’s or some other local print shop. May not be able to email it directly from there, but you can at least scan and get a PDF that you can e-mail from home.

Answer by mischa
Kinko’s, public library.

Answer by Daniel W
Usually if you have a scanner and a dial up modem, you have a fax machine!

Postbox (if you are from the uk)
and Local Gazette Store (If you are from the UK again.)

Answer by mermeliz
You’ve answered your own question …You can do it all at Kinko’s.
You can save your work at home onto a usb flash/thumb drive and bring it to Kinko’s.

Many large stationary stores also offer this convenience. Like Office Max, Office Depot, and my favorite store ‘Staples’. But Kinko’s is better equipped for all your needs. If you don’t have a thumb drive yet, then Staples is the place to buy one cheaply. They seem to always have them on sale.

Answer by L S
Printing:
Libraries, internet cafes, newsagent, chemist/drugstore (sometimes), post office (not always will print)

Faxing:
Library (maybe), internet cafe (maybe), newsagent, post office, chemist (maybe).

Ring your local post office or newsagent and ask them – they should be able to tell you who does if they don’t.

Yes, you can fax from your own computer unless you have some versions of Vista (mainly the basic versions) but if you aren’t computer savvy, you might be better off time-wise just getting it done somewhere (though it can be quite costly – I think the newsagent might be cheaper than the post office) and getting to know your computer faxing later. I *am* computer savvy and I spent a few fruitless hours recently failing to fax someone – they later said that they had heard the fax machine a number of times but it had failed to receive anything.

EDIT:
Oops! Mermeliz is right – I forgot to write that one down even though I thought of it! Most business supply places will be able to do it but I have found that our local OfficeWorks can get quite busy and not be able to do it in time so you might be better checking if they expect to be busy or doing it very locally. Most local places won’t take too long to get to you, such as your newsagent or post office. The library is often easy for printing because they should have a few machines available. You can take it there on a flash drive, (floppy disk isn’t always possible these days) or email it to yourself and open it at the library and print. Get on the phone and start making a few calls – you’ll soon know what you can do.

Equipment needed to automatically place callers on hold when lines are busy? – Fax Online

Question by Amy: Equipment needed to automatically place callers on hold when lines are busy?
I have qwest with 5 lines, 1 being used for fax and DSL modem. I have lines 2,3 and 4 on roll over. I need to buy some equipment that will automatically put incoming call on hold and play a message until a line is open to ring through to. What type of equipment will i need and where is a good place to get it online? I currently have 4 four line phones from att model 1040′s in use.

Answer:

Answer by Carl N
If you’re that busy, you need more than just answer equipment. The item in question is a call sequencer, but that’s probably more expensive than just changing out the phone system and making the system do your sequencing. A 6-line (comes in 2,6 and 12) sequencer weighs in at -1500. http://www.vikingelectronics.com/products/view_product.php?pid=235

An ASA/DXD module for a Partner ACS phone system shows up in the secondary market for less tnan 0.

Your best bet would be to look in you phone directory under Telephone Dealers and get a quote for a system with your requirements. Then you can budget a solution.
