Looking for free internet fax sending program (not ‘free trial’ – really free)? – Fax Driver

Fax Service: Looking for free internet fax sending program (not ‘free trial’ – really free)?
I’ve searched on Cnet and Freedownloads, but every program I find is either free trial (and then you have to pay) – or it looks good but doesn’t install or load properly (mobility pass compass for example).
Do you have one that you use and it’s really free and it works for you?
Thanks alot – I’m tired of having to go down to the copy shop to send a fax. Don’t want to buy a printer and fax machine. Don’t want to pay a monthly subscription just to send every once in a while.
I’d even be happy with a service that charged on a per-send basis – a buck or two, so I don’t have to run to the copy shop.

How to set Windows Picture and Fax Viewer as Default program for vewing photos and fax?

Fax Service: How to set Windows Picture and Fax Viewer as Default program for vewing photos and fax?
I’d like to use Windows Picture and Fax viewer for viewing images but whenever I double click a picture in My Pictures folder, it opens with Microsoft Picture Editor. The problem is I can’t navigate to other pictures using the left and right arrows. Can you help me?
Next time you double click on image that you want to open, right click on it, then scroll to “Open With” now you might see Windows Picture and Fax viewer but do not click on it. Instead click on “Choose Program…”
After you click on choose program, select Microsoft Picture and Fax Viewer from the list, and check off the item that says “Always use the selected program to open this kind of file” if it is already checked then just click “OK”
From here on out, all those images will open in Windows Picture Viewer.
right clk a pic and choose “Open With”. Scroll to Windows Pic and Fax viewer and check it. Before leaving the popup window, put a check in the box that says “Always use this program to open this file type. Done!!!
Note; you have to do this with each file type you want to open this way. ( .jpg, .gif, etcl)
right click on picture and select “open with”
select “picture and fax viewer”
put the tick mark and open .
next time itself it willl open on that application only ..

Program similar to windows picture and fax viewer? – Fax Software
Posted by in Fax Software on January 7, 2012

Fax Service: Program similar to windows picture and fax viewer?
Since microsoft created a deadlock out of GIF i was wondering is there a program that is similar to Picture And Fax Viewer i just need a program that opens as fast as “WPAFV” and please no fastsone, no irfan, and other viewers like that i just need some viewer like picture and fax viewer. Thank’s!
Here’s a list for you to choose from, experiment until you find one you like.
I was going to suggest Irfan for an image viewer, which is a great little free image viewer capable of viewing a wide variety of different image formats. Don’t know why you don’t like it.
If you want something even simpler and all you want to view are GIF, JPG, and PNG images, then just open them up in your web browser: IE, Firefox, Safari, Opera, any of them will work. And you don’t even have to install any other program. Just drag and drop the image onto the browser window.

When I log on to my computer Window Installer 3.1 keeps attempting to download a Photo gallery & fax program?
Posted by in Fax Software on November 30, 2011

Question: When I log on to my computer Window Installer 3.1 keeps attempting to download a Photo gallery & fax program?
I was given the below answer and when I tried it I was unable to locate the program that keeps pooping up to remove it. Is there a nother option? Go to your start menu click on start, then in the run box write MSCONFIG go to the start up tab and look down the list when you find this program in the list uncheck it.And while you are there uncheck anything that does not need to start at start up
Is this part of the HP Image program?
Sounds like a tough one.
Did you try going back a week or so and do a system restore.
Does the program actually install itself and then keep coming up to install it again? cause if it does then you can use the uninstall.
What type of virus protection do you have and try downloading SPYBOT (it’s free) and see if it helps.
That’s about all i can think of.
I recommend you doing a System Restore to an earlier time when your computer was working fine…….good luck

Fax Service: What is Mac’s most comparable program to Window’s Picture/Fax viewer?
I need to select multiple jpegs and print them scaled to fit media (8 1/2 x 11). This was SO easy in Windows Picture/Fax viewer.
I can’t seem to get this to work in Finder, iPhoto or even Adobe Bridge….
I’d grab a copy of snagIT by techsmith

What is the best program out there for doing diagrams for things like office space?
Posted by in Fax Computer on July 21, 2011

By cbr600girl: What is the best program out there for doing diagrams for things like office space?
I have been tasked with coming up with a plan or diagram for office space planning. Our facility is growing at a rapid pace and we are running out of office space. Is there a program out there to help with measurements and seeing the best way to make things fit. I want to be able to show placement of desks, modular furniture, computers, printers, faxes, etc. I heard you can do similar tasks in Microsoft Visio. Any other program recommendations?
Thanks

Answer by abizzell4hire
AutoCAD would be your best choice, but you need someone trained in it to use it. You could always go to Wal-Mart and buy on of their planning software.
Answer by Morgie
Microsoft Visio 2007 if you’re happy to pay, or use a 60 day trial – http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/visio/default.aspx
Answer by R.F.
Visio is the best diagramming software available. It’s really easy to create diagrams and floorplans, etc, and very easy to move things around. And if you get to be a more advanced user, it’s fully customizable for more complex diagramming work too.
While you can use AutoCAD for diagrams, it’s more for detailed architecture and schematic drawings, so you may find it more difficult to use.

Will your congress man/woman be getting rid of their insurance for the new government program?
Posted by in Fax Email on July 18, 2011
Ask by Ironbutt: Will your congress man/woman be getting rid of their insurance for the new government program?
They have a special elite plan where they get princely treatment. We need to write, email. phone and fax to let them know that unless they willingly join us in any new government program they better not pass it.

If their elite plan is taxed you can bet WE the taxpayer will pay it for them.

they should all congressmen and senators anyone in Washington should have the same insurance nothing better than we do .
Answer by MAD BLACK CONSERVATIVE
Honestly, these politicians don’t need it, they are self-insured. And I know damn well Obama wouldn’t sign up his family.
Answer by Steven C
I think we’d better demand they DROP their great “socialized medicine” plan if they DON’T pass a new program!
Since when do you think they EVER make laws that THEY have to abide by, as well as US?
Answer by M.E.
No, they will keep their current plan.
But, there’s a good chance that their elite plan will be taxed, as will all elite health plans (as they should be).
Answer by delphi
It pisses me off! They receive the best this country has to offer on the backs of the taxpayer. But find it perfectly ok to mess with us. I say they are made to pay for their care like the rest of us. Then maybe they’ll change their approach to health care.
