Some products include a bar code or a corner from a sheet of paper that says “proof of purchase”. I think they mean that. It would be different from product to product.

Proof of student enrollment for Oregon DMV?

fax online

Question by Strider: Proof of student enrollment for Oregon DMV?
I’m 17, and I need proof of enrollment in school to fax to the Oregon DMV so I can get my permits picture taken and issued to me. I passed the test months ago, but they won’t issue it to me because my online school doesn’t have the specific form that the Oregon statute requires. Is there something I could do like enroll in a public school for a few weeks, fax it over then drop out and continue my online education? Any links to sites or advice would be appreciated.

Good Answer:

Answer by
Your online school should provide you that and you shouldn’t try to do anything illegal like registering with a school just for that document.
The proof of enrollment is nothing complicated and any legit school ( online or not ) should provide you that. It just means that you study in their school … it even makes you wonder why your school won’t provide that.

What do you think? Answer below please!

does the bank know where u work and how much money u make when u apply for a loan,do they have proof?

fax online

Question by Truth 2 Power: does the bank know where u work and how much money u make when u apply for a loan,do they have proof?
i ask this because i dont have a job but my friend has a buisness and will fill out the paper work if needed.if they fax him for proof of employment.i filled out a online application and when i talk to the people on the phone are they gonna know the info i filled out isnt true.i cant get a pay stub but i can probably dummy up a w2 form.

Answer by jseah114
The lender will require copies of your pay stubs. Short of that, they will want to see copies of your bank statements showing your cash flow (withdrawals and deposits).

“Dummying” up a W-2 is considered fraud, which would be a felony.

Answer by Ipsydoodle
What you are suggesting is a crime for both you and your friend. If you are applying for a Federal backed loan, then it’s a Federal felony.

DUMB.

Answer by deep5223
Sounds to me like you are willing to commit fraud to get a loan. You better rethink what you are doing. You could wind up in more trouble than you want.

Answer by parsonsel
We had to supply proof of employment, last year’s tax forms and our last paystub for each of us. And this was at a credit union I’d been a member of for 30 years and had paid off multiple loans to over the years.

Sounds like you’re thinking about fraud if you have your friend lie for you. Not a good idea. Go ahead, dummy up some W2s and really get the federal government on your case. Perhaps they’ll send you to prison and the loan will be a moot point.

Answer by compgeekdotcom
Sounds like fraud to me! Very bad.

The only way to make it “real” and to be in less of a problem with the government is to pay taxes on the W2 that your friend is making.

Remember if you “made” money legally or illegally you still owe taxes! Plus your friend will owe taxes to the federal government for “tax” evasion! A person can’t hide behind a corporate cover for stuff like that.

Your going to jail if the loan defaults and the government finds out!

Question by Flip Dude: How do I submit my proof of purchase to get Windows 7?
Alright, I just bought a new Asus Laptop with a free upgrade of Windows 7, I did register and I received email from them, all I need is to send my proof of purchase by:
- E-Mail
- Fax
- Mail
Do I have to do all of them (e-mail, fax and, mail) or I just need to choose one of them?

Good Answer:

Answer by Synful Visions
One is sufficient.

Answer by Jeff_Windows_Team
One will be suffice. It might not hurt to save a copy of whatever method you choose should an issue arise.

Should the defendant receive a copy of Proof of Service? – Fax Service

Question by junkmail: Should the defendant receive a copy of Proof of Service?
I am being sued by a credit card company. I received the summons. It indicates that I must answer within 30 days. However, nowhere in the complaint does it indicate the date I was served. The only date is the date it was filed by fax. This was 30 days prior to me receiving the summons. Should I also have received a copy of Proof of Service so that I am able to prove exactly when I received the complaint? If the court only sees the date it was filed, then my 30 days to answer is already up.
Thank you.
I am in California
to laughter- I am not a fool. Indeed, I KNOW when I was served. And NO, I do NOT need anyone to tell me. My concern is having PROOF of when I was served. You are very condescending- NOT appreciated. It is no wonder that you do not allow e-mails.
to Judge Julie- That’s correct. I was served at home on Monday night, Oct 18th. The complaint was filed by fax on 9/24. I would never even consider ignoring the summons. No- no assets whatsoever. I work for a failing school district and our contract trashed our salaries.

The proof of service is filed with the court. If you want to see it, go to the courthouse and ask to see the file. You know what day you got it. You do not need to have someone tell you what day you got it.

Answer by Judge Julie
You have 30 days to answer? but you say the only date you see is the fax date! And you only received this fax 30 days after the date on the fax? Wow! You are screwed! I would hire an attorney to answer for you – most people ignore these summons – and then lose by default. Its very unusual for CC company to sue – but its possible that you have assets that they find interesting. (Boats, Cars, timeshares?)

Answer by LovesTheConstitution
I work with courts in which credit card lawsuits are very common. Unfortunately, in our current economy, we see a lot of these lawsuits.

The defendant is given notice (citation), but the proof of service is filed with the court. The proof of service shows the date and time the citation was served and the file date of the return of service. Both dates may be important regarding the time you have to file an answer.

You do not have to prove exactly when you received the complaint. The plaintiff has to prove that.

Some of these credit card lawsuits include technical flaws. If you can, consult your attorney. That way, you can be assured that every option for your interests is explored.

If you do not have an attorney, use your local lawyer referral service or the one on your state’s bar association website.

Answer by Conor
The attorneys involved in the case will have a copy, along with the court file (judge’s file). If you have an attorney, your attorney should have a copy of it. Either way, the only thing you need to worry about is the date you’re ordered to appear.
