I was wondering how long after u got approved and your food stamp benefits were open did u receive your card? I got approved and my benefits became open a couple days ago. i never had an interview or anything,i did everything online and faxed over the information needed.so i dont know when i should be receiving my card and pin. anyone know?

Here in NH, I had to go down and pick mine up, they wouldn’t mail it,,,,it would be best if you called Health and Human Services and find out….Then unless you receive emergency food stamps, they will be activated on the day of the month in your state…ours is the 5th.

When I had food stamps I had to go to the public aid office to pick up my card and verify my pin #. I would call your local office and ask if you have to go in to pick it up. They may also make you watch a movie on how to use your card and all that jazz.

In pa you have to go down and pick it up yourself so you can select a pin #. Call and ask

There’s good reason for that. It’s to weed out the crap. Literally. If you don’t go through an agent, and a reputable one at that, whatever you send will go right in the “trash”. It won’t get read anyway.

There is no quick way to email or fax a director or writer. If you seriously want to contact a director or writer, you need to write them a letter and send it to them care of their agents or managers. You can find agent/manager info for most writers and directors through the DGA (www.dga.org) or WGA (www.wga.org).

Are there any websites that offer quick but thorough tenant screening, including credit score, liens, bankruptcy’s, payment history, ect? I’ve found alot of different websites but they all require me to fax them proof of ownership of the home, ect. Are there any sites that don’t require that? I need to be able to run this tenant screen asap and would rather not need to provide all that additional info. I currently live and own the home I want to rent, so don’t have an additional “mailing address”, which some websites require as well.
Please no sarcastic answers. Thanks for everyones help!

When I studied this 30 yrs ago, it seemed
most all landlords were facing the same problems and none were stepping outside
the cultural Norms. YOUR approach
matches the older ways. Workable
but slow and unnecessary……
create 2 documents;
one which the tenant fills out for
PAYROLL WITHHOLDING
for you–which you mail to the employer.
If the payroll dept has no trouble with it,
each payday, you will be paid
1/2 of what is owed to you, or however
frequently the tenant is paid. [or
once a mo, whatever is negotiable.]
next, state on your lease that
any guilty pleas for any crime committed
as a tenant violates the lease and
it is therefore, canceled.
YOU may also ask them
have you ever been……..
—then stop.
remember, all of your checks are for
yesterdays…..rather useless.
IF this helps you let me know;
if you think it is stupid or wasteful,
let me know; many landlords love it
and I like to modernize and be
on top of the law of tenants/landlords.

There are no legitimate sites that I know of that will allow you to run a credit check without proving that you are the owner of the property.

Here are the facts:
I plan to purchase a vehicle online.
I am in Houston, Texas.
The car is in Charleston, South Carolina.
The purchase price will be about 23k.
I have approved financing through my local credit union and only need the purchase order faxed from the seller.
Now…Here are the questions:
What (if any) tax will I pay?
What additional fees should I expect to pay?
If I can get the seller to end the Ebay auction early, is there any benefit for the seller? (i.e. avoiding Ebay seller’s fees)
How much for shipping of the vehicle, title transfer, registration, etc.?
Relating any online vehicle purchase experience will be appreciated.

The taxes you pay will be in Texas. Whatever your sales tax rate is locally that is what you’ll pay. You shouldn’t have to pay any taxes in SC.
The fees you’ll spend are a one way plane ticket to Charleston to finalize this sale face to face with the seller and the gas and travel expenses you’ll incur to drive your new car home.
If the car is listed, the seller will have to pay the eBay fees. There is no getting out of this. eBay will get their money, period.
Title and registration expenses will have to be figured by your local DMV.

You pay taxes to the state you live in Texas. There should just be tax and tag if its a private party seller if its a dealer you may get some other dealer fees” don’t pay them” they are supposed to be in the ebay listing. The seller still has to pay seller fees for the listing even if he ends it early. Cost depends on the method. I had a man pick up a Armada is Baton Rouge and bring it to me in north Florida 500 miles it was towed and cost me 0 of course the man I sent inspected the car and that included gas at a gallon. The title fee and registration is different in each state call your DMV they should be able to tell you. Ask about the condition get confirmation from the seller if the vehicle is not a promised when its picked up you have options once you bring it home you have no rights to reject the sale its your baby.

A fax machine is like a faster email. For example schools use it to recieve records for transfer students or stores use it to send and recieve money orders.
Basically all it is is a faster way to send and recieve information. Its like ups or fedex without the delivery truck. When you fax something, depending on how far it has to go, It can be as little as 15 minutes for something to arrive.

Unless this is an emergency, never do a payday loan. I don’t know of any, but try talking to your bank. Sometimes they have payday loan styled programs that are much easier on your checkbook. My bank has one, but the catch is that you have to have direct deposit. If you’re an account holder with Wells Fargo, talk to them.

It’s pretty straight forward. Either you send a fax free with advertisements on it, OR, you can register with one of the online fax services for a low monthly cost.
