By xx_dannydisease_xx: how can i get replacement tax return paperwork?
i filed my 2007 tax return paperwork via mail. it was i think 1040ez. i never got the money back. and i filed my 2008 tax return paperwork via hrblock.com and i never got it back either. i dont know how to re file them in case they were done incorrectly. and i dont know how to check out the status of them. i never received any paperwork in the mail. no informational mail and no checks. i dont know what to do. the deadline is april 18th. i dont really have much time.

does anyone know if there is a way for me to find my paperwork online using my social security number and such information?

i was able to find a way to order a replacement by mail but i doubt i would get it by the 18th. so i would need to receive it online or by fax.

anyone know anything that could help me?

oops. sorry i made a mistake. i filed my 2006 and 2007 w-2 tax returns. i filed them by myself. without the help of anyone else. i recieved the tax documents by mail from the company i was working for and i went to the post office and got the form i needed 2 fill out. im not sure if i had 2 copies but if i did i lost it when i moved. the most recent one (2007) i filed online without any help. i dont remember the exact amount i was supposed to get. but i do remember that within a week after receiving the tax papers in the mail i filled it out and mailed it (2006) and submitted it (2007). i didnt get either return. i looked on irs.gov and couldnt really find what i needed. grrr this is frustrating me =[

When did you file your 2007 tax return? Wait at least five weeks before you should start to worry that your check was either lost or stolen. Dude, you can’t file your 2008 tax return until the year 2009… So I think that you are confused. You file your 2006 tax return in the year 2007, your 2007 tax return in the year 2008 (this year), and your 2008 tax return should be filed in the year 2009……. Go to http://www.irs.gov if you have any questions… I think that website will help answer your questions.

Go to irs.gov they have a link to check on the status of your return, but you need certain information from your return to use it. Do not file again unless you are certain your return has not been filed, as that will only cause you a big headache. Your tax preparer is required to give you a copy of the return they prepared it. If you not receive a copy you need to go back and get it. Is it possible you have not gone back to pick up your return and pay them? They could be holding it waiting for you to return. If they filed it electronically they can also tell you when it was accepted by the IRS. It seems you have some issues with your preparer, and need to go back there to start your trace.
