Q&A: Now how can we keep our government representatives on the right track? – Fax Email
Posted by in Fax Email on October 30, 2011

By Eyes: Now how can we keep our government representatives on the right track?
The voice of the people was heard in D C, and stopped this amnesty bill. Shall we now ask our representatives to:
seal the borders now?
begin deporting the illegals?
throw out the SPP?
get rid of RFID for people (aka the spychip)?
Anybody with me on this? We can get them to listen, but we have to crash their PBX and flood them with email/faxes, etc..

In a market driven economy the laws of supply and demand becomes the rules of any issue. Americans are misdirecting their anger towards the supply, which are the Mexicans coming over to fill a demand.
The anger should be directed towards the DEMAND or the people, who are paying the Mexicans under the table below minimum wages or sweat shop wages. They’re your sell outs, cashing in on the problem…without NO DEMAND then there is NO SUPPLY.
If you treat those Employers like Cocain Dealers…then they straighten up. Rich Business people fear Prison more than the Devil.

I appreciate your approach to their deafness, but they will soon come to ignore the full mailboxes as normal and do what they want anyway.
The key is…A full mailbox, overloaded PBX followed up by a RESOUNDING DEFEAT at election time!!!!
Time to hit these sobs where it hurts them the most…
Their egos and wallets!

faxing or attaching file to an email then printing it out , its the same thing right?

Question by Animal Seeking Kindness: faxing or attaching file to an email then printing it out , its the same thing right?
in the end it leads to the exact same results ;??
Good Answer:
Answer by Mama
Obviously they have the same results… If you’re the one receiving the fax then yes a fax and/or printing the email w/the attachment are the same.
Answer by CodeCavalier
Short answer: Yes. It’s the same.
Longer (geeky) answer:
It depends on the quality of the fax machine, the scanner, and the scanning process.
Fax machines typically have a low-quality scanner, or are simply programmed to send low-quality scans over the telephone line. This is so you don’t have to wait too long. Faxes are designed for classic analog telephone lines (aka: POTS), which in today’s lingo we would call low-bandwidth. Therefore, on the other end of a fax, you typically get a lower quality reproduction of the original document.
Scanners, nowadays, are capable of much higher quality, and, more notably, COLOR. So, if you choose the right settings while you’re scanning, you can get a much higher quality digital image file to attach to your e-mail. The biggest problem I’ve had scanning documents is that it’s difficult to keep them from scanning in slanted to one side or another.
Another problem with this method is that the person on the other end must print your attached file. With some techno-phobes, or government agencies, this can be a lot to ask.
Answer by john
Not really.
The quality of the received fax is poor although the attached document is as good as the original.

What is my legal right if the computer I bought as brand new has already been registered to someone else? Tnx.

By jeanr8: What is my legal right if the computer I bought as brand new has already been registered to someone else? Tnx.
Bought it on 5/11/05. Had a major problem 1/22/06. The screen is pixillated. Rebooted and it’s still the same so I decided to reformat. To my dismay i was not able to complete the installation because it won’t boot to windows anymore. It says installation is not complete. Definitly its the graphics card. But since it’s a laptop mobo is the question. Called the warranty dept and told me to fax them the sales receit and would repair it. but my question is not warranty anymore.I found out that the pc i bought was already registered to someone else on 2/4/05 and will expire on 2/4/06. That is why I haven’t seen my name because the pc Im tying to register has been registered. Same serial number take note. I’m so sure that the pc they sold me was a second hand one. There is really a fraud in here. By the way legally my pc’s warranty will expire on 5/11/06 if I will fax the them the proof of purchase but i won’t do it. They might updated it and I don’t want it to happen. Thanks a lot.

as long as you have the original receipt – you are the original buyer of the machine.
In which case, you have the FULL rights to the laptop.
As per their warranty terms, if your laptop is still under warranty, they should fix it.
If not, you should take the matter legally.
Answer by fen752546
if you bought the pc in the understanding that it was new and un-used and you found out that it was used before you have the right for a replacement – as it was sold under false pretensences
Answer by Thomas M
I would recommend to go back directly to the place you purchased the laptop from and request a refund. It seems that you are unwilling to provide the manufacturer with proof of purchase in order for them to correct the warranty issue.
I think this goes further then the warranty though, because the place that sold you the laptop repressented it as new.
Good Luck

How to print a web page without truncating text on right side?
Posted by in Fax Free on June 1, 2011

Question by boinger002002: How to print a web page without truncating text on right side?
Just created my free local listings website. 2 questions:
1. how to print my web page without truncating text on the right side of page?
2. At the start, it asks for your company name, phone and fax. This info appears on each of the 5 pages. The Contact Us page already has this info. So it appears twice on that page (once and once again underneath the first info).

Answer by saraphen
To answer #1. Don’t click on the print icon to print. Instead click “File” >>> Page Setup >>Then set the orientation to Landscape. That will get the whole page.
#2 I don’t understand the question.

My printer is not functioning right anyone know what to do? – Fax Software
Posted by in Fax Software on February 22, 2011
By MEOW MEOW MEOW: My printer is not functioning right anyone know what to do?
hi, I really need to print something on my computer, but i have an old document that is waiting to be printed, but won’t work. I clicked on the little icon called the printer and faxes folder on the bottom right hand corner of my computer to see why my document wasn’t printing and that other document is still there, but I pressed cancel so it would go away, but it’s frozen there and not doing anything. I keep clicking cancel and restart so it does something, but nothing is happening. When i click restart is says there’s a processing error but I don’t get what to do and I can’t print my other document until that one leaves. I was going to unistall my whole printer software and reinstall it but I can’t find my software disk to reinstall it anywhere. I have a hp psc 1400 anyone know what to do? Thank you!
Good Answer:
Answer by KnutThePolarBear
Your problem is very usual. It happens to be that Windows gets very confused with external devices, such as printers or scanners. The confusion is so big that when you click on ‘Cancel’ it wont because it’s waiting for it to print!!!! Is very confusing.
Anyway, you need to cancel the print you want to, and then turn off the printer. Then turn it in, and the document is gone. And you can start printing again. If you have several documents, select them all and cancel them. Turn the printer off and then on, and they are all gone. It’s simple, but Windows should be able to do it by it’s own.
Whatever, if it doesn’t work, you’ll need to reinstall the printer. You can get the drivers at the HP Website (hp.com). If it stills without working, you’ll have to buy a new one. Hope you don’t have to go that far…
Good luck, and hope to have been useful.

Answer by vikramthebiker
Use the following steps to clear out the print queue.
NOTE: This document is specific to USB products only. Before you proceed with the following troubleshooting steps, ensure that your hardware is fully functional by printing a self-test page. Refer to the product documentation to get information on printing a self-test page. If the self test does not print correctly, and if there are other symptoms, refer to the documentation specific to those symptoms.
Step one: Restart the computer
Click Start .
Click Shut Down .
Click Restart or select Restart from the drop-down menu, if available.
Click OK .
Check the print queue once the machine is restarted.
If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step two: Check the printer cable
Disconnect the USB cable from the printer.
Disconnect the USB cable from the computer.
Leave the cable unplugged for 5-6 seconds.
Reconnect the cable to the printer and computer. Ensure that the printer is connected directly to the computer through a USB cable or a powered USB hub.
After reconnecting, the printer should start printing the jobs in queue. Go to step five, if you want to stop those jobs from printing.
NOTE: If the printer is connected through a non-powered USB hub, or if the type of hub is unknown, connect the printer directly to the computer.
If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step three: Check for the right driver and port
If there is more than one printer configured on the same computer, the printer in use may not be the default printer, or the wrong driver may have been configured. Use these steps to verify the driver configuration:
Click Start .
Click Control Panel .
Click Printers and Other Hardware , and then choose the printer from a list of installed printers on the left menu.
Ensure that the correct printer is set to default, denoted by a checkmark in a black circle on the icon. If the wrong printer is set to default, right-click the icon for the correct printer, and then click Set as Default .
NOTE: The correct printer must be selected from within the application that is issuing the print job. In the application, click File , and then click Print . If the correct printer is not shown as the default, use the drop-down menu to select the correct printer.
If the printer is already set to default, right-click the icon, and then click Properties .
To verify that the printer is using the correct port and driver, click the Ports tab. The printer should be set to use a DOT4 or the USB00X (where X is replaced by a number) port. The driver in use is listed next to Model on the same page.
Click OK to close the Printer properties window, and then close the Printers window.
If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step four: Check whether the printer is paused or offline
Open the Printers folder.
Right-click the icon of the printer in use, and then click Open .
Click Printer on the menu, and then ensure that there are no checkmarks next to Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline . If a checkmark is present on either, click the menu option to remove it. If the menu shows Use Printer Online , click that option.
If neither Pause Printing nor Use Printer Offline are checked, press Esc to leave the menu without making changes.
If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step five: Manually clear out the print queue
Follow the steps given below to clear the print queue.
Open the Printers folder.
Click Start .
Click Control Panel .
Click Printers and Other Hardware or Printers and Faxes .
NOTE: If you have the Printers and Faxes option in this screen, skip to step 5 below; if not, continue to the next step.
Click Printers and Faxes .
Select View Installed Printers .
Double-click the printer icon to open the print queue.
Click the Printer menu at the top-left corner of the window.
Select Purge Print Documents or Cancel All Documents , and then click Yes to confirm.
If still there are documents in the queue, restart the computer, and try printing again after restart.
Check the print queue again to ensure that it is clear. If it is not clear, or if the queue is clear but jobs are still getting stuck after attempting to print, continue troubleshooting.
If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step six: Restart the Print Spooler service
Open Administrative Tools .
Click Start .
Click Control Panel .
Click Performance and Maintenance .
Click Administrative Tools
Double-click Services .
Click Print Spooler .
Click Stop to stop the service. Click Start to restart the service.
Click OK .
Restart the computer.
If this step does not resolve the issue, continue to the next step.
Step seven: Check the software application
If print jobs from one specific application are backing up, then that application may be failing or interfacing with the print driver incorrectly.
Use the following steps to verify whether a specific application is the problem:
Close the application, and then reopen it.
Send a print job from the application.
NOTE: Most HP all-in-one products do not support printing from a DOS application. Determine if the software application is Windows-based or DOS-based by checking the system requirements of the application.
If the queue backs up again, try printing from the Notepad to see if it is an application issue or the driver issue.
Clear the queue using the previously mentioned steps.
Click Start , and then click Programs or All Programs .
Click Accessories , and then click Notepad .
Type a few characters in the Notepad.
Click File , and then click Print .
If printing is successful from Notepad but not from the application, contact the manufacturer of that application
