The fact that he sees absolutely nothing wrong with this bill is scary. Rather, I think he does know its flaws but he made promises that must be kept. What is more illuminating is that he thinks no one else (like us) can see that. That we are in the dark in this matter. He used ignorance during his campaign and it worked well for him. But he doesn’t realize that one very good thing came from this election. More and more got involved in learning about politics and how this country is being run. That ignorance can’t be counted on any longer.

OK so i need to charge my laptop. I left the charger at work. Ive tried every AC adapter in my house – cameras, fax machines, telephones, EVERYTHING. Is there a way i can charge this thing up with a usb via my old desktop? Also, i have a universal adapter wich fits in the laptop and i switched through all the voltages but it wont work.
I REALLY NEED TO CHARGE THIS THING SO BAD because i have to write a report and send it via email but i can only connect to the internet wirelessly (my desktop cant do that) and my boss is on vacation until NEXT WEEK so i cant go get the charger…

Why don’t you write it on your desktop and save it to a disk or flashdrive and then use your laptop to send it.

You need to install modem for the fax, that’s what I did and I am sending and receiving fax.

Go to control panel and double click on add/remove programs, when window opens you will see on your left side few buttons. Select add/remove window components. You will see a list of components, in that see that fax services is ticked, if not select it and it will install fax for you. Now you configure it and enjoy.

You don’t have fax capability with wireless. If you have a fax machine, or combination printer/fax you have to hook it up to the telephone line. Fax requires a phone line, wireless does not.
You can fax over the internet, which isn’t secure, but doable. You pay per fax. Faxitnice.com is one of those.

I have successfully connected the printer to 2 computers running vista through a router. My computer running xp is connected to the router, and so is the printer. I tried going to “printers and faxes” and clicking “add printer,” then I select network printer and browse but all it finds is MSHOME and WORKGROUP that I can’t do anything with.

Instead of Network printer, add it as a local printer, then select create a new port, then select standard TCP/IP port. From there you can enter the IP address and name of the printer.

ok, when I start my Laptop type Toshiba Satelite, I can print using the Canon Printer LBP2900 after few minuts I can’t do so, Ichecked connection and power, its OK, disconnect the USB and reconect it doing nothing, when I go to printer and faxes in the control panel I found no printer installed when I try to install one its tell me that THE PRINT SPOOLER SERVICE NOT RUNNING.

Print spooler service is listed under start–>control panel–>administrative tools–>services. You will see a long list in alphabitical order. Scroll down the list until you see Print Spooler. Under the Status column it should say ‘started’. And under Startup Type column it should say automatic. If it says different click on it and change it.
Please note that this is how you get to print spooler on my computer which is a desktop and I am running windows xp. Good luck. Hope you get it running again.

You will need a modem in order to fax, unless you use some online fax service.

What the other two posters did not say is that you cannot send a fax using DSL.

The best thing to do is go to the store and buy a phone adapter for a few bucks that you plug into the phone jack and it has two jacks coming out. Plug your phone into one and run a cord from the othern to your computer. You should have a phone jack and an ethernet jack on your computer. The ethernet is the larger of the two.
