is it o.k. to post same resume for multiple job openings in same company? – Fax Online
Posted by in Fax Online on December 12, 2011

Q&A: is it o.k. to post same resume for multiple job openings in same company?
I am actively searching for a job and I need some clarification.
Lets say a company has 6 available openings that requires more or less same qualifications and same field of education/expertise.
1) Can I apply to all the 6 available openings using the same resume or should I tweak my resume in 6 different ways to suit the openings? If I tweak them in 6 different ways, wont the HR personnel be annoyed about this? or is it o.k. to file the same resume for all the 6 openings?
2) Is it o.k. to apply my resume online at company website, send fax and also send an email to HR ? Is this acceptable or should I send my resume through only one channel?
Please let me know your kind opinions.
If you apply for all six positions, it may look like you are desperate or don’t know what you want. Resumes should be tweaked for each position you are applying for according to the job requirements.
Once you apply online for a position, you don’t need to fax it. You will be overwhelming them with resumes. When you apply online, send a cover letter as well. You can call HR a few days later saying you are following up on the position you applied for.
When I get a person applying for 6 different positions, it does not sit well. Apply to the best position that fits you. Add a cover letter mentioning the other positions that you feel qualified to handle. That will go a lot further than ‘spamming’ the submission box.
The truth is that if the positions are similar, the same person is going to be recruiting for all of them and he/she will be able to tell that you could fit in any of them so you come off a lot less desperate.
As for where to apply, follow the instructions given on the ad you found. Anything that is machine readable (text or doc files) gets into the system much quicker.
Good luck.

I shoot a photo, I open jpeg in window fax viewer and one in Photoshop. Colors are not the same!?

Q&A: I shoot a photo, I open jpeg in window fax viewer and one in Photoshop. Colors are not the same!?
I seems that the photoshop colors look a lot more faded. how can i go to get the color the same? When I print from window/fax viewer the colors are normal just like the photos.. so the problem I have been getting is opening in photoshop and the colors are faded…then adjusting it..which print out much much more magenta. How do I make the colors the same between photoshop and window fax viewer
Try adjusting the Color Management settings in Photoshop in order to match it to the printer. Check the link for details.
Forget about Fax viewer. Stick with Photoshop, use sRGB colour space, calibrate your monitor. That should be enough to get you started.

your fax and copy does not need Internet, really
if you have dsl, just use the wireless
if it is dial up, you maybe looking for a splitter
there are taps that let you plug in 5 phone cords to one line [we do] and they work fine

a router? lol
Answer by Joshua M
An Ethernet Switch allows you to connect multiple TCP/IP devices together.
A Router connects different networks together (ie, your home network and the Internet). All home routers include an Ethernet Switch as part of the unit.

Good Answer:
Answer by Mama
Obviously they have the same results… If you’re the one receiving the fax then yes a fax and/or printing the email w/the attachment are the same.
Answer by CodeCavalier
Short answer: Yes. It’s the same.
Longer (geeky) answer:
It depends on the quality of the fax machine, the scanner, and the scanning process.
Fax machines typically have a low-quality scanner, or are simply programmed to send low-quality scans over the telephone line. This is so you don’t have to wait too long. Faxes are designed for classic analog telephone lines (aka: POTS), which in today’s lingo we would call low-bandwidth. Therefore, on the other end of a fax, you typically get a lower quality reproduction of the original document.
Scanners, nowadays, are capable of much higher quality, and, more notably, COLOR. So, if you choose the right settings while you’re scanning, you can get a much higher quality digital image file to attach to your e-mail. The biggest problem I’ve had scanning documents is that it’s difficult to keep them from scanning in slanted to one side or another.
Another problem with this method is that the person on the other end must print your attached file. With some techno-phobes, or government agencies, this can be a lot to ask.

Not really.
The quality of the received fax is poor although the attached document is as good as the original.

At least with Yahoo you would have to open another account. They only let you open one account at a time on one machine.

By Tallulah: Can you help? My fax machine won’t stop printing the same page over and over.?
We have a Dell 1600N multifunctional printer that has a fax machine function as well. Today it has started printing multiple copies of each faxed page that it received. It started out printing 4 or 5 copies and now is stuck on one page and I am up to about 30 copies so far and have had to just open a door on the printer to stall the printer from working. I have tried clearing and resetting, that didn’t work. I have unplugged it and plugged it back in, that didn’t work. Is there anything I can do? I can’t get any of the subsequent faxes because it is stuck on that one page…..HELP

uninstall all the software for it. do this in the add/remove program in the control panel. or use the uninstall option in the program menu. after this, reboot the system and reinstall all the software again. it should then be reset. you’ll need to re enter the faxing info again. you can try to reinstall the software and drivers without uninstall first. sometimes it work. it will overwrite the software that is install.
Answer by gamingenius
When go to a computer that is connected to your fax machine (since it’s a dell multifunctional, you CAN do that). First off, check the fax/printer queue. It may just be stuck or be set to print multiples of that paper. If not, try reinstalling the drivers on your computer.
Answer by cree4u2000
Since you have tried the power cycle by shutting it off and turning it back on then you should uninstall the machine and reinstall it. That usually takes care of the little issues that they have. GL

call dell and get some help from them.good luck.
