Are there any websites that offer quick but thorough tenant screening, including credit score, liens, bankruptcy’s, payment history, ect? I’ve found alot of different websites but they all require me to fax them proof of ownership of the home, ect. Are there any sites that don’t require that? I need to be able to run this tenant screen asap and would rather not need to provide all that additional info. I currently live and own the home I want to rent, so don’t have an additional “mailing address”, which some websites require as well.
Please no sarcastic answers. Thanks for everyones help!

When I studied this 30 yrs ago, it seemed
most all landlords were facing the same problems and none were stepping outside
the cultural Norms. YOUR approach
matches the older ways. Workable
but slow and unnecessary……
create 2 documents;
one which the tenant fills out for
PAYROLL WITHHOLDING
for you–which you mail to the employer.
If the payroll dept has no trouble with it,
each payday, you will be paid
1/2 of what is owed to you, or however
frequently the tenant is paid. [or
once a mo, whatever is negotiable.]
next, state on your lease that
any guilty pleas for any crime committed
as a tenant violates the lease and
it is therefore, canceled.
YOU may also ask them
have you ever been……..
—then stop.
remember, all of your checks are for
yesterdays…..rather useless.

if you think it is stupid or wasteful,
let me know; many landlords love it
and I like to modernize and be
on top of the law of tenants/landlords.

There are no legitimate sites that I know of that will allow you to run a credit check without proving that you are the owner of the property.

I am having some problems sending a fax since it is the first time I have used this function on my MP530. I don’t know if the machine will show a screen that displays a “completed”. Also, does it dial after every page you send in a fax? Any other details you have would be helpful.

No – it does not! It simply comes back to the same screen display that was there prior to sending the Fax.

I am needing to be able to fax or email information on a screen. My program pulls up information from a customer and has labels and a text box. I want to have all of the information that’s displayed on that window to be copied except one or two selections and by the click of a submit button, put that information into an email and have it ready to send. I know I could just make it where they could select all of the text and copy/paste, but I’m trying to make it more automated. I’m working in Visual Studio 2010 with Visual basic code. Any ideas?

Ctrl+PrtScn should put the entire window in the Clip board. Then paste it in to what ever you like. Bit limited that though, try using a screen capture program (most art programs have that function) which is far more flexible over what is actually captured.
If you want to do it pro grammatically then just access the Clipboard functions from the API – Not ideal, but without writing reams of code, that might be the simplest.

Make a button to copy the data, in the click event put something like this:
Dim myPasteString as String = Nothing
myPasteString = String.Format(“Name {0}”, myNameTextbox.Text) & vbCrLf
myPasteString = String.Format(“Address: {0}”, myAddrTextobx.Text) & vbCrLf
My.Computer.ClipBoard.Clear
My.Computer.Clipboard.Settext(myPasteString)
Then you can pull up your email and just paste the data directly into your email body.

Hi, my hp officejet 5610 will turn on and flash the date, then displays a bunch of black boxes in a line, then freezes, no buttons work, it is unresponsive. This is a free standing fax/copy machine, not connected to any pcs, but the lcd gets stuck when turning it on with these black boxes. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

The formatter might be fried. If it is you are out of luck. Make sure you are connected directly to an outlet and not plugged into a power bar or power strip. Sometimes improper power surges can cause this to happen. I also included a link from HP’s website that tells you everything you can do to possibly fix this. If you are under warranty call HP for a replacement. Here is the link with some other things you can try.

Hope something here works for you. Like I said if the formatter is gone than the printer will need to be replaced.
