Looking for free internet fax sending program (not ‘free trial’ – really free)? – Fax Driver

Fax Service: Looking for free internet fax sending program (not ‘free trial’ – really free)?
I’ve searched on Cnet and Freedownloads, but every program I find is either free trial (and then you have to pay) – or it looks good but doesn’t install or load properly (mobility pass compass for example).

Do you have one that you use and it’s really free and it works for you?

Thanks alot – I’m tired of having to go down to the copy shop to send a fax. Don’t want to buy a printer and fax machine. Don’t want to pay a monthly subscription just to send every once in a while.

I’d even be happy with a service that charged on a per-send basis – a buck or two, so I don’t have to run to the copy shop.

Help contacting Target Customer Service? Phone/Closed. Email/Not Sending. PISSED!?

fax email

By OMFG!: Help contacting Target Customer Service? Phone/Closed. Email/Not Sending. PISSED!?
Does anyone have an actual email address or, better yet, a fax number for Target?

Today, I went to the Niles Target Store and it was a NIGHTMARE.

The woman at checkout was utterly incompetent, unable to converse in Understandable English (She is SouthEast Asian/Indian and NOT fluent in English.) OR use the Register/Scanning Equipment. She was overwhelmed with just scanning items.

I was about to leave when she informed me that she didn’t scan the Toilet Paper that I had put on the counter for her to scan so I had to back up as she ran a SECOND transaction through…

Then I get home and find that she never put the Greeting Cards I had purchased in the bag.

✖ I tried to call Customer Service and they are closed on Weekends.
✖ I tried to email “My Store Experience” and it is refusing to send, stating:

- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - –
Oops, there was a problem.
Please correct the following 1 issue:
please enter valid questions & comments
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - –

I tried to send an email through both Apple Safari Browser AND Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and it states the same problem.

✖ I tried to email Corporate and the same error comes up.
✖ I tried to shorten my statement and the same error comes up.

They SEVERELY limit the Characters in the Comment Field, so it’s hard to get any actual message across, AND they don’t have any identifying information on the Two Receipts I have, so other than “The Indian Woman that can’t speak english”, I can’t identify the individual that should be fired or at least moved away from having to have contact with Customers. Some place quiet where she can’t harm herself…

So anyways, I’m just trying to find a way to contact Target Customer Service, since it seems as if they want to keep their complaint numbers low by making goddamned sure that no one can actually FILE a complaint!

Does anyone have an actual email address or, better yet, a fax number for Target?

This is the message I wish to email to them:
- – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -
I have never encountered a worse employee at ANY store I have ever shopped at, and that includes the stores that hire the Developmentally Disabled through an outreach program.

The woman that checked me out was not fluent in English, she was Southeast Asian/Indian, and was not only unable to properly communicate with an English-speaking customer base but was unable to properly use the Register/Scanner, becoming exceedingly flustered at the simple act of ringing up a customer.

After I paid, she stopped me and told me that she hadn’t charged me for the LARGE package of Toilet Tissue that I had put up on the counter for her to scan so as the line behind me grew longer and longer, she had to initiate a 2nd transaction.

I’m not complaining that I had to pay for the Toilet Tissue, I’m complaining because I had made sure that it was right up where she could scan it and assumed that she would be unable to miss the almost meter long bundle in front of her. Then I get home and discover that she never put the Greeting Cards I was charged for in any of the bags.

So now I must either eat the $ 6.00 or screw up my schedule and go back, stand in line at customer service, and argue with them regarding the legitimacy of my situation and convince them that I’m not trying to scam them out of two greeting cards.

This is utterly unacceptable.

The employee made a mistake; people do that sometimes. I understand your frustration, but unfortunately it will happen from time to time.

You might consider writing them an actual letter rather than email – I would imagine email addresses change as employees come and go, and are too easily overlooked or deleted. A letter to the store manager should suffice.

without reading your whole post I am going to let you know that I read an article saying that b/c they were offering a high end designers items at a very low cost, their web site crashed and they have been having problems ever since. Apparently they were not able to fill all the orders and they are now returning people’s money. The stores were also having problems in customer service as well.

Answer by syn
I don’t have an answer, but I’ve been having problems with them as well. Tried calling to fix an online order. They have a little timer that says you have 30 minutes to correct your online order, but my particular issues needed to be fixed over the phone, as the website stated. So, after 25 minutes on hold, and by the time I was able to explain the issue (3 or 4 times, I might add), the customer service rep told me that it was too late to do anything. His resolution was for me to wait until my order arrived in the mail and then just tell them I don’t want it. How on Earth is that going to fix anything? Completely useless. Ever since they revamped their website, I’ve had nothing but problems, starting with my baby registry. And being a web designer/developer myself, it’s just that much more irritating that they are having so many issues.

I just sent them an email through their, yes very limited, contact form. I was searching for a way to email them directly, but not having luck finding an email address. If someone replies and I can snag one, I will definitely share it here.

Sorry this isn’t an answer, but I’m glad it’s not just me that’s outraged with Target right now.

Please leave your answer in the comments! Thanks.

Are faxes sent by email (eFax, MyFax ) as secure as telephone faxes for sending charge card info etc?

By lhrf1: Are faxes sent by email (eFax, MyFax ) as secure as telephone faxes for sending charge card info etc?
my main concern is receiving charge card numbers from customers.

Selected answer:

Answer by notthateazy
Absolutely NOT!

E-mail is an unencrypted messaging service that relies on unknown public relay servers on the internet to get to it’s destination. Anyone who has access to these servers can access your e-mail (and any faxes it contains) and obtain the details from it. It is not secure at all and you would be negligent if you used e-mail in any way to transmit customers card numbers or any other private details.

Sending request letter for job transfer in location, is it considerably formal?

Ask by jxanRa: Sending request letter for job transfer in location, is it considerably formal?
Is it formal to send a job transfer request via e-mail? I am working in a company where I was assigned far from our place of residence, this was supposedly a temporary assignment for me, but it was almost a year now since I was transferred here, our company has a branch near to our place and I made a letter requesting for a transfer in location, I have mailed it through internet since our central office is quite far from our office where I am assigned now, do I need to send my letter via fax, to make it considerably formal?

Selected answer:

Answer by Rain

Answer by Vicki R
Its perfectly acceptable to send a job transfer request via email. If you haven’t heard anything in 7 days, follow it up with a phone call.

How does one fax using the Canon MX310? I try sending a fax but the other person did not get anything. HELP? – Fax | How To

Question by tonyv: How does one fax using the Canon MX310? I try sending a fax but the other person did not get anything. HELP?

Answer:

Answer by Robert C
If the fax sounds like its not going through, check your telephone cables first. Try faxing to another location. If that works then it’s the other persons fax that is acting up. If you have the same problem twice, you may have a faulty fax. Check the manufactures website for tech support.

Q&A: Sending faxes by email (Outlook)… thinking about setting up a fax modem… how does it work?

fax computer

Question by Ali: Sending faxes by email (Outlook)… thinking about setting up a fax modem… how does it work?
We had a fax service, but was not a fan of the monthly fee. I want to set up sending faxes through out Outlook… can I set it up on multiple computers? How does it work? Is it better than an outside fax service? Please help!

Featured answer:

Answer by Barkley Hound
A fax has nothing to do with email. You connect your modem to a phone line. You need a special fax program. It acts like a regular fax machine. It has nothing to do with the internet. The program sends and receives through the phone line like a regular phone call.

There are companies that will let you send them an email or create a fax at their website. They then send it for you. Some may be free for limited service and they probably include ads in the fax.

When sending a FAX from China to the USA, do you dial 01 before the USA number?

fax how

By Lester: When sending a FAX from China to the USA, do you dial 01 before the USA number?
I need to send a FAX to the IRS and am not sure how to send it.

Best answer:

Answer by riverstar
yes

Answer by denmarks
01 is the country code for the U.S. but you will also need to dial whatever access code there is in China for long distance.

BTW: If it is a toll free number you can’t dial it.

Answer by tsbr1963
No.

The country code for the US is 1

So, for you, you dial
+1 xxx xxx xxxx

The + is the number YOU dial to access international calling. In the US, I dial 011 to access international, then the country code, then the number. For example, a french phone # is

+33 1 XX XX XX XX

I dial 011, then 33 for france, then 1 for paris, then the rest for the person’s number.

However, NOT every country dials 011 for international….hence the + you see when given a phone number from someone outside your country.

Hope that helps!!

Answer by Viet Vet
access is 0
USA is 01

0-01-XXX-XXX-XXXX

What kind of jobs do you Apply for in person, instead of sending resumes?

fax internet

By bestos22: What kind of jobs do you Apply for in person, instead of sending resumes?
All jobs listed in newspaper adds, and internet seem to be jobs where you send your resume and hope you’ll get a response, but aside from Restaurant type work, where do you actually go in into a building, talk to someone and fill and application to submit. I’ve been searching for office jobs and usually the ads list fax number to send resume, and that’s it. And it’s not working, so any advice? And i’m in my 20′s.

Answer:

Answer by SheBandit77
Most jobs will accept a resume dropped off in person. Personally, i have sent out very few, I at least like to find out where the human resource departments are and drop them off there..

Answer by pinkpicklebox
your better off to go to the place ad apply or drop off your resume it makes it look as if you are more serious then other applications and the face to face if you can get it with the manager boss human resource person is a Hugh help they will be able to put a face with a application. which will give you a better chance.

Answer by Sam
Email a resume if you cannot fax it. If you want to hit the pavement, look for retail jobs or trades. Most offices want a professional and answering an ad by just walking in is not professional. The HR Director or Manager will more likely want to schedule times for interviews, not take them as they come. If you are young and do not have a lot of experience try a Receptionist position. Good luck!

Answer by overitguy
Generally Professional Positions require the use of a resume, lower paying by the hour positions will accept a walk in application,,,

Sending faxes over broadband.?

fax free

Question by Timothy K: Sending faxes over broadband.?
Can I send a fax over a broadband connection for free and if so how would I do it? I have a all in one fax, scanner, printer. Thank you.

Featured answer:

Answer by texasogre
You can fax 3 pages per day with a maximum of 2 faxes per day in .doc or .pdf for free at http://faxzero.com/ There are many more sites like that out there.

Unfortunately, without a VOIP fax line you won’t be able to fax straight from your printer over the internet. You’ll have to scan the document in and then fax it using a service.

Answer by f100_supersabre
Unless they have a specific FAX URL, the answer is no.
FAX’s are telephone to telephone connections for transmission of data, in this case the pages. They do NOT use the internet at all.

Answer by zxxxt
Yes you can send faxes over broadband but its not reliable and its not free either. You also need a voip account on your broadband to be able to send fax over broadband. If you don’t have voip account then you can not send fax unless you do it as web base like on faxzero.com. The downside is, faxzero put ads on the cover page of every fax you sent and a maximum of 2 faxes a day only.

I suggest you get a cheap fax to email service like Onesuite Fax plus -> http://www.onesuite.com/products_OneSuiteFax.asp instead of sending it through voip/broadband lines.
