Hi Ashley B,

I definitely understand your position! I think the best way to save money in these times is by switching over to online faxing.

Online faxing has several benefits such as:

- Green Solution. Save a Tree! By using online faxing you use less paper, water and help save the planet :)

- Save Money. Stop wasting money on buying paper, ink or repairs. Also did you know that the fax machine is the most electricity consuming office machine? Online faxing costs as little as to bucks per month!

- Save Time. Forget about paperjams or busy tones, online faxing works 24/7 headache free.

These are just some of the benefits I can think of from the top of my head. Also, when you sign up with any of the major online fax services they give you a Free local or toll free number and many other features.

There is no complicated installation or cables. All you need is a computer with internet, and if you know how to send an email then you know how to fax online!

I made the switch last year, I use online faxing and VOIP phone service from RingCentral and it saves me hundreds each month.

I signed up through this site: http://onlinefaxfree.net/ it reviews the best online faxing services and you can also take advantage of their FREE 30 day trials so you can test run their service and then decide whether you like it or not.

Hope this information helps!

Forget getting a fax line, this is expensive and out-dated. I highly recommend looking into online faxing:

Does a fax machine require its own separate phoneline?

Question by thepaladin38: Does a fax machine require its own separate phoneline?

Featured answer:

Answer by joemomma
Not at all. Most fax machines should be able to be configured to answer after a certain number of rings. Problem with this is, it’s not terribly convenient. You’ve got to scramble to answer your regular phone calls before the fax machine does.

Answer by Klathorn
NO.

In an ideal world you would, but nothing is that easy is it?

For a small office or home office. Using something called a fax splitter can detect the tones from a modem or fax and re-route them on the same incoming line.

Can I plug a fax machine into my home phone line or do I need a separate fax line to fax?

fax machine

Question by Xenu: Can I plug a fax machine into my home phone line or do I need a separate fax line to fax?

Answer:

Answer by James S
Your fax machine should have an jack for phone in and out to enable to you plug the phone line into the fax machine and plug a regular phone into the fax machine as well. You can only phone or fax at one time but you don’t need another line.

Answer by Tanya W
We have our fax machine plugged into our home line. If you get a lot of faxes you might consider getting a distinctive ring feature from your phone service provider, and if you have voice mail through your home phone you may run into some problems receiving faxes. We had problems receiving faxes because of the voice mail on our line, and got the distinctive ring feature, but then canceled both the ring and our voice mail, because our fax machine has a answering system with it. Make sure you read the operator’s manual, it’ll explain about the rings and voice mails. Good luck.

Answer by Jesse
Yes you can on most phonelines. Have fun faxing around.

Good luck with your fax’s and i hope this helped :)

Answer by *
yes….just buy a 2 dollar splitter….but the fax line in it and in the other , the phone line…

Answer by Heavenly
Yes! but you will need to sign up with your local carrier to distinguish between a fax call and a voice call otherwise the fax will always pick up. The manual has more details on this…change your settings on the machine to what you handle mostly on the fax/phone.

Answer by cal_mi_93
yes you can. I have mine set up that way. and I have caller ID. I see who is calling and if it is someone I don’t want to talk to I let the fax machine pick it up.

Am I naive or is this a good David and Goliath civil case a good community service to separate church & state?

Your Honor Judge Foote,
I have a civil case I cannot win from way back in the 1980’s because the records have been cut way back and my needed proof of how it was change to a civil case is not there any more. So I have no choice but to go at it from another way it seems. From the worlds view I am from an oddball religion and never really liked by other religions. But you likely know my religion well from your law schooling days because we had to fight in the Supreme Courts since the 1930’s to have are religious rights noticed and that worked out well for the whole nations freedoms and rights too. Before our fight the constitutional laws and bill of rights were mostly just words on paper not real in practice! And we won those rights in the courts peacefully not on the war fields of killing others. As well we do not mix in government business so to force our religious teachings on others as many others try doing. That is were my focus can change things if you see my point about other religions mixing in government business and influencing human law that caused my problems illegally from way back. History show the first Christian faith would die before mixing in war and government business just like my form of faith will not mix today! That can cause a dilemma in court if the state law is influenced by those other forms of faith in their teachings which happened in my case. But I left that alone all these years thinking all was well in my naïve thinking as I see the facts today! I will send you four other pages with this one that I hope will give a big clue what is really happening with other religions and you judge if I would have had a dilemma in court years ago if I disagreed with state law influenced by others faith if a conflict came up. That happened right here in Eugene Oregon back in the 1980’s! I will go by just Nathan at this time for privacy. But please do not fear using my email, I am not after the state but [what influenced the state in my case] and my rights ignored! That was other religions influence in the legal law system that made it illegal in my personal civil case! My lawsuit would be to in deed separate church and state in fact not word only! Am I naive or is this a good David and Goliath civil case?

1. Learn to spell and write, or get help — that letter is a mess.
2. You don’t say what any of the actual issues are, there are nothing but vague references to something that’s not described.

Paragraph breaks are your friend.

I don’t think the judge is going to read a solid block of text like this, especially when there is no such thing as Separation of Church and State. Read the First Amendment for yourself.

Edit: While you say you are not a good writer, it still does not present a strong case for a judge to read your letter. You are more likely to bend his ear if you keep it short. Also, know the difference between “are” and “our” you used them interchangably.

Remember you are trying to sell yourself, just like sending in a resume’. Writing well and correctly is very important, especially if you want people to take you seriously.

Honestly, I’ve read this through three times and I still don’t get what you want to see happen.

You are VERY naive, and not a very good writer either.

Is there a way to use a fax machine and separate phone with vonage?

fax machine

Question by Terry S: Is there a way to use a fax machine and separate phone with vonage?
I can only hookup one at a time. when I hookup both neithor work?

Best answer:

Answer by Yaga Z
Yes, but I suggest you use online faxing. Doing so will allow to be able to fax while using your voip phone. Services such as RingCentral combine online faxing and voip phone service in one package. Plus you can try if FREE for 30 days http://onlinefaxfree.net/voip-and-fax.html

This solution worked for me, now I can receive and send faxes 24/7 with out worrying about missing a call or voice mail.

Answer by Voip
Check out other products as well if your situation is not helping you. You can choose from among the different telephony which can offer you better deals. Personally, I prefer online sending of documents which a VoIP provides for me.

Answer by Phillip B
i suggest the service from the following company. Same service as Vonage. You can add a fax line for an additional 9.99/month.

Fax Machine Question: Using one telephone line.. Currently I have a separate fax number, but can I use 1 #er? – Fax Machine

Ask by JB: Fax Machine Question: Using one telephone line.. Currently I have a separate fax number, but can I use 1 #er?
I currently have my fax machine set up with its own dedicated number. However, I know some people have a fax machine sharing another line- so only 1 line is used.. How does this work when one sends a fax?? Do I have to be aware that a fax will be coming? Or will the sender be able to send fax without me having to do anything?? Thanks

Featured answer:

Answer by Matt Gerchow
The best way to do this is to purchase an A/B switch box so you can send faxes from your home telephone line.

The next thing to do is get a free or inexpensive online fax number. This is where people will send you faxes. They will go directly to your email.

Your sending of faxes will work just like a fax machine for actual documents. But you can also send directly from your programs using a print driver that comes with the online fax service. Then you just click print and enter the phone number.

I spend a great deal of time living offshore and I usually pick up a 3-in-1 for -0 when I land in a new environment. The last one I got is a C4480 Multifunction from HP. Watching the trend with HP I see the non-fax versions are the most popular these days.

With that and my fax number I am able to conduct business as if I never left the good old USA.

Answer by wires
You can share your voice line with your fax. This works OK if you don’t receive many faxes. If you receive or send a lot of documents it’s hard to share a line. It simply takes up too much time and you can’t receive any other calls when the fax is using the line. You can get a device that will recognize the fax tones from a call and send it to your machine. It will send other calls to your phone. The best way is to keep your separate fax line. You’re the only one who knows how much bother it would be to share a voice line with your fax machine. Just pay some attention. How many times are you talking on your phone when you receive a fax or want to send one. If this happens frequently you probably shouldn’t try sharing the line.

Q&A: does yahoo voice support fax calls or is their a separate service for fax calls.?

Question by jgconcrete@sbcglobal.net: does yahoo voice support fax calls or is their a separate service for fax calls.?

Featured answer:

Answer by denisgomes
There is no offical support for sending or receiving faxes using Yahoo! Voice, although it might be possible since faxes are transmitted as a series of noises (audio) and Yahoo! Voice can carry audio without any problems.

Do I need a separate phone line for a fax machine? – Fax Machine

Question by Ophelia: Do I need a separate phone line for a fax machine?
What if I choose to use my fax machine for a one-time occasion and take my regular phone cord and put in the fax machine, so when I am done I just take it out and put it back on my regular phone? Could this be done without any damaging effects?

Good Answer:

Answer by Fuzz
Presumably you have one line to your house and therefore one number. No harm in plugging and unplugging if done carefully. You could use a splitter to have both connected. The one number would have to be both your fax and your phone number. If you have not got your fax machine plugged in how will you be able to receive faxes and if you don´t want to receive faxes why have you got a machine?

Answer by forcierjohn
you only need one phone line to fax

Answer by esrock21
like fuzz said get a splitter and nice about having the fax pluged in and on when someone calls you and you don’t want to talk to em the fax will pick up and they can’t talk to you
