I am buying a used scion TC from a private seller. what should i be looking at to make sure the car is good? – Fax Free

fax price

My Question: I am buying a used scion TC from a private seller. what should i be looking at to make sure the car is good?
I have already looked up the carfax, and the car has a clean car fax. I have already test driven the car to make sure i like what i am driving and getting into. I also popped the hood and looked in the hood for oil leaks or new parts (as thats the sign as an accident). It looks like the car was never in an accident.

Should i be looking at the maintainence records? and what should i be looking in the maintainence records? Should i call any scion dealer to ask anything about this car (as i have the VIN# of the car)?.

The car is 2005 with 35k miles. It has minor scratches on the body (Nothing too big). I am getting the car for $ 11,800. Is this a good price? And the car is the base model with automatic tranny with LOJACK (its helpful to trace the car if it ever gets stolen) and remote starter.

Any help regarding this will be greatly appreciated.

with 35k miles there is nothing major to worry about so you can buy it with no problem

give a full tune up when you get the car and you are done

FAQ: Should i purchase a 2003 ford focus w/ high mileage? – Fax Free

fax price

Question: Should i purchase a 2003 ford focus w/ high mileage?
I looked at a 03′ focus se w/ 109,00 miles. The price is 5,000
I loved everything in it. I’m behind times since I own a 96′ ford contour. Should I keep looking? The car fax turned out to be a one owner. It drove very nice but my gut feeling is to keep looking.

Keep looking

It is priced very good. Whoever is selling it knows that the mileage is high for that year. Now, most newer cars built will generally run about 200,000 miles before needing a major overhaul. NOT ALL CARS, but many of them. If it has been well maintained, and doesn’t seem like it has been hot roded, then I’d say for the price to go for it. It is your money though, and you have to be sure you will want it, and that you think it is worth it.

109,000 miles is far from being “high mileage”. None of my vehicles have lasted less than 300,000 miles. A vehicle will run as long as you take care of it. Just a few weeks ago Yahoo posted a news article about a man with a pick-up that just surpassed the 1,000,000 mile mark. I still can’t believe most folks consider 100,000/150,000 to be high mileage!

I buy “high milage” cars and I will typically get over 100,000 more out of it. I look for cars that look really good inside and out – pride of ownership. They can usually produce maintenance records.

If this car has that then you have a good car. Offer him ,000 if you have the cash. If he takes it, youi’ve got a good deal. If not, keep looking.

I’d go for it. My mom has that year model and babies it and my friend jack has the same only he treats it like crap yet both are about the same. They are good little cars. There is a problem with the trunk latch so be aware of that. Other than that they have had no major problems

Allstate fraudulently billed me long after I asked for my policy to be canceled. What should I do? – Fax Online

fax online

Question: Allstate fraudulently billed me long after I asked for my policy to be canceled. What should I do?
14 days ago from this date, I called my local allstate insurance agency and asked them to cancel my policy right away. They told me with assurance and on the spot that I was no longer insured with them. Then 3 days after I found out my policy was still active online, I called them again and they said they will put a cancellation request. I called them four more times and they gave me the exact same response and days have passed, and my policy was still not canceled. Yesterday I found out they have debited $ 105 from my bank account. And up to today, my policy with them is still active and is showing my next billing date to Sept. 10.

So yesterday, I was arguing with these corrupt Allstate people on the phone, asking why they charged me when I ordered a policy cancellation two weeks ago. This time, they told me to fax them my new policy with Geico before they will effectively cancel my policy and issue me a refund. I’m just so infuriated with them right now. I have a feeling they will continue to play games with me. I faxed them my Geico declaration page yesterday morning, yet my policy with Allsate is still active to this hour. What are my options now?

The normal thing to do is cancel in writing and keep a copy of the correspondence.
I would never cancel anything on the phone

Continue to hound them until it’s done. Keep the documentation.

I’ve had to fight some battles. Don’t give up. Don’t be angry. Just be firm and polite. Ask to speak to a manager.

Provide your agent with a copy of your Geico policy showing the effective date. Ask them in writing to cancel your Allstate policy back to the inception date of the Geico policy and your money should be refunded to you. Allstate will not typically process a cancellation with out a signed request from the insured, that is probably why it did not cancel properly.

Is this car worth buying with the mileage + price, or should I find something newer?

fax price

My Question: Is this car worth buying with the mileage + price, or should I find something newer?
I have never bought a car before so I’m needing some help.
I found a used convertible 2006 Mercedes-Benz SLK280 for $ 21,000 with 71,000 miles on it that caught my eye. From the car-fax report it has never been in an accident or had any major problems. So I was wondering for a car with that many miles and that price would it be worth buying? or should I just try finding something with fewer miles for around that price or lower?

Thanks ^^

go to kbb.com for the blue book price

71k on a mercedes is break in mileage, I have an older 88 merc. with over 300k. but consider this, it is EXPENSIVE to have any repairs done on that car, both parts and labor, but it can go a long time without repairs and you cant get any old mechanic to work on that car. It is a entirely different beast than an american made car. to me convertible is just extra moving parts that can malfunction, leaks etc. all that being said, check kbb.com for used car prices. good luck

Please go for a new car.

I cannot recommend buying an old Mercedes as your first car. They are expensive, they cost a lot to maintain, to insure and to drive. They aren’t very reliable. They are impractical.

But they sure are pretty.

Q&A: What should be included in the price when buying a used car? – Fax Free

Q&A: What should be included in the price when buying a used car?
I’m in QLD, Australia looking for a used car, and already had one dealer try to rip me off. I wanted to purchase a car from him after having a look and taking it for a drive. So i’ve asked him to fax me an invoice as my bank needs one so they can write out a check. Anyway once i got the fax i saw that everything on the invoice added up to the exact amount i told him i had to spend (something i wont be doing again). So he just basically found out how much money i had to spend and added on things to equal that exact amount, to the last cent. He’s added $ 1000 for “accesories”, tried to charge me for rego which i thought was already included, and also for 3 years warranty which i also thought was included in the price. Anyway im not dealing with him anymore and am looking elsewhere. I’d just like to know what should be inlcuded in the price of a car? Listed on the invoice was a stamp duty and transfer fee which is normal right? Thnks for any help as im not too cluey on these things

What should be included in the price when buying a used car?

just the keys and paperwork…do ur homework so u dont get burned

buyer beware!!

GL

Well, as long as its a valid invoice, the charges listed are options from the factory. You can cross check their invoice price with a similar car including the options at edmunds.com. I will also give you a link to a free buyers order you can bring with you to have all the figures broken down for you to make it easier to understand the charges. We are based out of the USA, however the process will be similar to where you are. The are 6 other checklists if you would like to print out and bring with. Good luck and I hope this helps.

FAQ: Should I buy a 2004 BMW x3 with 100k miles on it?

fax price

Fax Service: Should I buy a 2004 BMW x3 with 100k miles on it?
So, ive recently come across a BMW x3 for a great price. I checked the car fax report and it has been regularly serviced, no accidents, and 1 owner. My only issue is that it has 102k miles on it. Should I buy it?

1. Miles tell you nothing about the condition of the car, so you telling us how many miles it has….doesn’t help us at all.

2. Carfax is mostly useless, because they can only report to you, what has been reported to THEM. Sure, there’s lots of commercials saying “show me the carfax”, but there’s no commercial that states “Show me a carfax that doesn’t have a disclaimer of “these reports may not be complete”

3. It’s your money. We can’t tell you what to do. We can’t see the car. We can’t inspect it. We know nothing about it. So why the hell would you ask us?

It’s like me asking you if I should buy a certain TV. Why the hell would it matter what your opinion is?

The engine in those last forever. The transmission and transfer case are another story. There is no magic wand to shake and tell you how long but I would ask how the mile were mostly made. Highway, city, mixed. Also, look into things like the window regulators, if they make nose they will go bad soon, especially the rear regulators. Also, look under the hood, look for leaks at the valve cover and power steering lines. Check the engine belt too, all these are wearing out at 100K. Finally just remember it is a fine automobile, they do cost to maintain, they will go through tires and brakes faster becuase of the sportiness.

100,000 miles now that is driving alot especially since only 2004 my sisters car she got in 2001 and her car almost has 100,000 miles on it. I say you dont buy it also x3′s are not good cars that is like buying a 325i bmw you dont do that you always buy the higher one. Whats the point of having a BMW if its a cheap one the only reason to get one is so it is a nice car. if you want an suv get a X5 or an X6. but if you want something more affordable get a 335i or 330i or xi’s cause those are cars that are affordable and nice and its worth getting a BMW.

Is 21,991 for a Honda Certified 09 Pilot Lx a good price or should i neg a better price? – Fax Free

Question: Is 21,991 for a Honda Certified 09 Pilot Lx a good price or should i neg a better price?
Its at a car dealer in Ga and looks great. Car fax is also clean. It has 32,600k miles. KBB is 22,360.

Imma say this is a good deal, given you check it out and like the car. Sometimes, things go unreported, you know, so you got to test drive it first.

That sounds like a decent price for a used car. Honda’s are rather expensive new with no miles, so that would be a good price with how many miles it has and that it’s about 2 years old.

Not a bad price and a decent car. However the gas mileage on the Pilots are BRUTAL!!! The absolute worst! There rated for like 17 city and 22 hwy which isn’t that great but thats the biggest lie right there. So beware mileage is horrible.

Q&A: I found a 2000 with 83 K, in my price range. should I buy it for primary car or wait until I can afford new.?

fax price

Question: I found a 2000 with 83 K, in my price range. should I buy it for primary car or wait until I can afford new.?
I have wanted a corvette for 35 years (I’m 39). I found a 2000 with 83K miles in my price range. My 1st question is: Is it a good idea to buy it for a primary car? I drive approx. 400 miles a week. Should I wait until I can afford a new one, or until I can afford to buy it as a second vehicle? The car seems to be in perfect condition (looks) I don’t know anything about engines though. #2. I know that I can go to car fax or some other web site to check the history, but what are some things to look for when buying a used corvette? BTW, the car is on a small lot, not an individual. #3. What price range should this car be in? I know I haven’t given all the specs, just a ball park figure for that year model.

I don’t know much about the engine’s, but about deciding whether to wait or not, I would definately wait for a new vehicle. They have a lot more technology and you have a much better guarantee on the condition. Just think, a 2000 Corvette sounds niceee, but a new one, sounds even better. I would definately wait. Good luck, and nice choice of a vehicle!

If you don’t want to print, get rid of all “Canon”
If you don’t use Itunes, it can go to.
Cyperlink YouCam can go, if you don’t want extra webcam features.

All others really should stay.

You don’t need the defragger, but the rest are up to you.
HP product Detection is probably a waste and you may not need all the Canon utilities.
Google the rest to see what you can do without, as no one else knows how you use your computer.

It depends on what softwares you are using. If you are not using your printer, then all cannon softwares for your printer is not useful. Don’t touch the miscrosoft softwares, they are the important softwares.
