Question by wayastar: The CLIENT agrees to pay Total Attorney Fees of USD 1,995 to live in canada?
I just received this information from an Attroney for fee’s
Did anyone else had to do this and if not what are other ways around this to do

It was a pleasure speaking with you. As per our conversation, I am providing you with a link to our Skilled Worker Contract, a breakdown of our fees and services, as well as a method to make the payment online. Please feel free to verify our credentials and browse through our client references as well, located at the top right of the link below:

Separate to our legal fees, are the Canadian Government fees.

The government’s application fees (when we submit your file) will be 550 CAD for you, 550 CAD for your spouse, and 150 CAD per child, if you have any dependent children.

When you are approved at the end of the process, there will be the government’s final fees. They are 490 CAD for you, and 490 CAD for your spouse. Fortunately there are no final fees for children.

Once the original retainer payment ($ 495.00 USD) is processed by our accounting department, your file will be immediately opened. I will have a submissions expert assigned to your file. This expert will work in a dedicated role to insure that your file is expertly prepared before the final approval of Attorney David Cohen.

We will immediately give you access to the documents we require you to fill out electronically.

ex: the application forms and the authorization form for our firm to represent you. Along with these documents will be a check list of the documents that we require from you, to prove your educational history and work experience etc.

We will work with you in assembling these documents and then our experts will prepare them into a perfected file for you. In most cases, not all of these documents are available in the format that we require or the time frame needed.

Attorney David Cohen will work closely with you, to guide you and make sure the process is as efficient as possible. Insuring that your file is as close to perfect given the documentation at hand. This type of hands on work is essential to preparing a perfected file.

Please be sure to let me know if you have any further questions.

Kind Regards,
Matt Cohen

The Canadian Government does not encourage you to use an agent.

Here’s the official site with downloadable forms:

If you look at the Canadian Immigration site they state very clearly that there is NO reason to hire a lawyer. Your file will not be processed faster and no lawyer can guarantee you will be accepted.

The website Canadavisa.com is the website of a law firm, not a government site.

You can get all the information and all the forms for free on the official Government Immigration site.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/representative/index.asp

The only thing a lawyer can do is make sure you fill out the form correctly and include everything they ask for. If there are things you do not understand you can phone the nearest immigration office, probably at an embassy if you are outside Canada.

Good Luck

Answer by adamr81
First of all it seems like a scam since a Canadian Firm is asking for a payment in US dollars. You should do the immigration process yourself, do not hire a law firm. Canadian officials at the embassy or consulate should be able to help if any problems arise while filling out paper work or needed documents.

Don’t use an agent, it is just as easy to file your own application to immigrate

You would have to go look at the franchise for it, for prices, then call it up, see if they will let you open one up there.

Answer by Brandon_101
Your looking at;
Computers x 5 = 00.00
Printer x 1 = 0.00
Fax Machine x 1 = 0.00
Scanner x 1 = 0.00
Laminator x 1 = 0.00

For everything your looking at minimum of , 000.00.

Answer by iChris
It would depend on how much those items would cost. total those up, look to a realtor for where youre setting this up and do an estimate with everything included.

it also depends on the number of those you want. if you want to spend the money wisely, get higher end products that will last longer. 5 computers at 4,000 dollars is not great if youre going to have a whole lot of people using them and wearing them down.

It depend on the number of computers that you will use for your business. If 10 PC, it will cost you appox ,000/-US

We have a franchise called “Postnet” have a look at them. I’m not sure about the costs involved.

To open your own store with equipment you specified, I would say R150,000 to R200,000. (,000 – ,000).
