Windows fax console won’t display faxes, though it used to.

Q&A: Windows fax console won’t display faxes, though it used to.
My faxes used to preview as normal, but now I receive the error msg: “fax document cannot be displayed because your operating system does not have a default viewer for fax doc’s.” Don’t know how/why it changed, nor how to reset it. I’ve set the default view of My Pictures to Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, but it didn’t help with displaying faxes. Thanks so much for any advice!
I assume that you have Windows XP
Try System restore. Go to Start > Help and Support and then click on the System Restore click. Choose a date on the calendar when you knw (or hope!) the fax preview was OK. System Restore will then put your settings back to those applicable at the chosen earlier date. The computer automatically restarts for the revised settings to take effect.

Is this a realistic price for a used ford explorer or expedition?

Q&A: Is this a realistic price for a used ford explorer or expedition?
I’ve seen a couple online for about $ 2,000-$ 4,500 and i was wondering if these were realistic prices, I cant really exceed $ 5,000 but I really want this car, if i were to buy one of these even with a car-fax report do u think there would be stuff wrong with the car that i would have to pay extra to fix? I appreciate your help I don’t have much knowledge on cars
I was looking at the 1999 or 2000 model
www.nada.com
ww.kbb.com
these sites are your friend when comparing vehicle prices
I wouldn’t suggest an explorer, as they are more prone to flipping (yes more than the expedition). The expedition’s have problems with the engines going bad. The engines on these cars are into the thousands.

Need help installing a black ink cartridge into a used HP officejet 7110 all in one.Disks, fax, all instal.ok.

My Question: Need help installing a black ink cartridge into a used HP officejet 7110 all in one.Disks, fax, all instal.ok.
This machine was bought second hand from an office products store. I have bought a new pwr module, pwr cord, usb cable, as well as new cartridges to install. Just need to help me get the cartridge installed …. which doesn’t seem to fit the description of what I see in the manual I have for the 7100 series. Thanks
OK. Accoriding to HP.com you haev a pretty big machine. Not only does it use ink cartridges it also uses printhead cartridges. The ink cartridge you should be using have the number 14 on them, as do the printheads. HOWEVER, the black ink should have (on the bottom of the box real small) HP c5011dn. This is the number for the black ink cartridge. The number for the black printhead is HP c4920a. Make sure you hae the right item and make sure you are installing it forward and not backward. HP has some pretty good support so feel free to visit their site and get more info. They will also tell you that this machine has been discontinued and replaced with the 7210. I hope this helps.

FAQ: My picture files used to open with WIndows Picture and Fax Viewer, now it opens with Paint? – Fax Driver
Posted by in Fax Driver on January 21, 2012

My Question: My picture files used to open with WIndows Picture and Fax Viewer, now it opens with Paint?
I’ve checked the properties over and over again, it is set to open with windows picture and fax viewer, but it still opens with the stupid PAINT! This happened when I momentarily installed ACDSEE to resize several pics at once, so I tried uninstalling it, but it’s still the same. Help!
Dr. House,
Did that and it still ain’t working. =(
Right click on whatever picture you want to open and select open with, click other, a list will come up and you can find the software you want to open it with. If you want to open all files of this type permanently, check the always box and hit apply.
Right clk a picture and select Open With. Now clk Browse and browse to the Pic / Fax Viewer and select it. Before closing the window, check the box that says: Always Open this file type with the selected program. (or words something like that) Problem solved! You have to do this with each pic file type. (.jpg / .gif etc.)
right click any picture file then click the properties option then select the open with option and select fax viewer and check the box clik ok button
You can choose the windows program to work with.Right click on the picture file you want to open while pressing the shift key.Below OPEN you will find the OPEN WITH option.A new window will open, find and select WINDOWS PICTURE AND FAX VIEWER,after selecting it,check the box saying ALWAYS OPEN THIS PROGRAM TO USE THESE FILES.Thats it.Hope this helps.
you should right click on the file and select open with, then choose the prgram you want the image opened with.

Fax Service: What would be the best price to sell a used computer that had to have a new hard drive and needs a new CPU?
I just want an answer. What would be the best price to sell a used computer that needs a new CPU and hard drive? It’s not a real old computer. Like a few years old. It’s a emachines Compaq computer W series 2888.
Read below for specifications of the computer:
CPU: Intel® Celeron® Processor
(2.80GHz, 400MHz FSB, 128KB L2 Cache) (needs a new CPU)
Operating System: Genuine Microsoft® Windows® XP Home
Monitor: eView™ 17f Monitor
(16″ Viewable, 0.27mm dot pitch)
Chipset: Intel® 845GV chipset
Memory: 512MB DDR
Hard Drive: 80GB HDD (needs new harddrive)
Optical Drive: CD-RW/DVD Combo Drive
Media Reader: 8-in-1 digital media manager (Secure Digital™ (SD), Smart Media, Compact Flash, Micro Drive, Memory Stick®, Memory Stick PRO, Multimedia Card, USB 2.0)
Video: Intel® Extreme Graphics integrated
Sound: AC ’97 audio
Network: 10/100Mbps built-in Ethernet
Modem: 56K ITU v.92-ready Fax/Modem
Peripherals: Standard keyboard, 2-button wheel mouse, amplified stereo speakers
Dimensions: 7.25″W x 14.125″H x 16″D
-. No I’m not kidding.
Well the specs are quite outdated, no matter its age.
If someone were to offer you you should take it…
Fifty dollars tops. Around here those are the ones you see people giving away to get rid of them. Sorry!
ask take anything over
You don’t have a computer anymore, only parts. I pay for similar doorstops, trade only.

I used to have Windows Fax Manager Pop up when I opened a picture but now, I have Microsoft Photo Editor.?
Posted by in Fax Software on January 17, 2012

Question: I used to have Windows Fax Manager Pop up when I opened a picture but now, I have Microsoft Photo Editor.?
I don’t want Microsoft Photo Editor, so what should I do?
What would happen if I Removed Microsoft Office XP Professional with front page?
Would I lose Microsoft Word?
I use WinRAR (read Manga scans) and Microsoft Photo Editor pops up when I double click a file. I want Windows Fax Manager to pop up instead of Microsoft Photo Editor.
Picture Folder?
Go to your picture folder, select all of them, right click and hit properties, you will se a thing that says, Open with, Hit change and select fax viewer

Has anyone ever used Stanley Steamer?

Fax Service: Has anyone ever used Stanley Steamer?
I called and asked them for a quote and asked if there were any additional fees for anything. The girl said,”no”. I asked her to fax a copy of the quote to the office and the notations I asked her to put on the extimate that she told me, had been changed. Also, I asked her to read the notes back to me before we hung up and she said it had already been taken care of and wouldn’t. I should have pressed harder for that. Has this happen to anyone? Did the price you were quoted match what they said, or did they add a bunch of stuff when they got out there?
Thanks for your time.
YES, they will try to add as much as they can as long as you approve. Most are good salespeople be prepared to spend 20%-40% more
Use a small independent carpet cleaning company. They usually do a much better job for less money, and they don’t do the hard sell thing. Good luck
I have used them and they did a poor job. We have an extractor and I do a better job than they do. My suggestion is to rent a commercial extractor and get some Quickdraw from a janitorial supply seller and do it yourself. After you extract the carpets, wait several days to vacuum. Qickdraw costs about 16.00 per gallon but is a far superioir product. I also pre-treat any stains with Spray and Wash or DeSolvit if it is a greasy or gummy stain. A little white vinegar n the water also helps deodorize.
