By Jimm: How can i transfer money via wire transfer?
I want to transfer some money abroad through wire transfer and i got all steps clear in

http://www.tictacdo.com/ttd/How_to_do_Wire_Transfer except this one

In some banks you can initiate this transaction through internet or you may need to contact them through phone or fax

so can anyone explain me briefly about this step and how to do it without any hassles?..i am looking forward for your suggestions.

Answer:

Answer by Paul Zucchini
If you have online banking with your bank, just sign in to that. There will be an option in the menus to wire money.

Otherwise, the easiest way is just go to your bank in person, and have them help you with it.

Watch out for scams. Any money that you wire to some other country is gone, there are no refunds if some company never delivers what you ordered.

It’s ok if you already know the other person, though.

Question by OatmealRaisin: Is a bank to bank wire transfer safe?
I am dealing on a car I found through an online search. I spoke with the seller, and his company prefers a bank to bank wire transfer of funds. He would fax the paperwork, I would sign, and return. I would then wire the money. This company has an excellent rating on eBay as well. Is this safe? How can I tell? Thanks

Featured answer:

Answer by CupCake
A wire transfer is safe but I don’t think thats ultimately your question… I think you are really asking whether or not you should trust this guy.

If you have to question it… maybe you should go with your gut

Answer by Jen
I don’t know…but I’d really think twice before doing this…

can’t he accept wertern union?

maby you could open an account just long enough to get the transfer done and then close the account again.

I wouldn’t buy a car sight unseen and I wouldn’t pay without IMMEDIATELY recieving the title of at least a bill of sale.

Answer by TedEx
You’d be amazed how many co’s do wire transfer. In the corporate world, wire transfert of several millsion dollars are not unusual.

No matter how you pay, there is No
F%%%%%G WAY I’d buy a car without seeing it first. Or pay thru wire transfer!. this way he gets your $$$ and you get the shaft if the car turns out to be a lemon. .

Answer by “TWIST”
NO its a scam,
never never never do this .
there is an entire race of people that are pulling this stunt out of Nigeria.
your money will be lost in the process.
please google”money scams”and you will see what i am talking about.
i have a full wall of bogus cashiers checks that are all frauds.

Answer by feeln17
before doing a transfer, do you know anyone in the area the car is in? so you could have them check it out for you? if not ,run don’t walk, away from this deal.

What do you think? Answer below please!

Ask by jetengine767: Do all new computers have a place to plug in an Ethernet (DSL) wire for Internet?
Do you need a 56K Fax modem or wireless card in your computer to have a place to plug in the Ethernet cable or is that unrelated?

Good Answer:

Answer by Sammy
Wireless card is for awireless connection. 56k modems i dont believe have the place to plug in a eternet cable. Most new mother boards will have a ehternaet card built in. Check what your new computer has and find out.

Answer by sound_engg21
Ethernet is just one of the different ways your computer can connect to the internet. A fax modem and wireless card have nothing to do with the existence of your Ethernet port.

Using a fax modem and wireless card are 2 alternate methods to get connected to the internet. If you have a wireless card, you can connect to a wireless network and get connected to the world wide web. If you have a fax modem, you can setup a dial-up connection to connect to the internet.

Answer by Easton D
That is unrelated. The 56K fax modem requires a telephone line. The wireless card connects to wireless networks. To use an Ethernet cable, you need an Ethernet network interface card (NIC). Nowadays, however, most motherboards have Ethernet connectors, so you don’t need a separate card.

Answer by Nikolas S
If your computer is relatively new, chances are that you may have at least one Ethernet connection; just look in the back of your PC. As for the the wireless card, you will need it only if you are planning to go wireless, where in this case you will need a mode and and a router, where both of them will have an Ethernet connection.
Hope this helps.
NDS

Answer by dadimwit
I would say that almost every desktop computer now being sold will come with Ethernet. You may or may not find a modem, they’re becoming obsolete and are usually an option. Wireless cards are seldom found in desktop computers.
Most laptops now come with an ethernet connection and a wireless connection. Many also have a built in modem.

Question by M.A.: My online bank accnt doesn’t show wire deposit, but person sending shows as withdrawn from accnt. Where is it?
I am awaiting deposit from a wire transfer. Party sending has shown withdrawal for the amount in account, but didn’t get confirmation fax that was expected. When will I get my funds? How long can I expect this transaction to complete?
Its a domestic transfer from B of A to my credit union.

Best answer:

Answer by zeuz
You should ask your Credit Union. The CU might be using a correspondent bank or they might take 3 business days to post or …

Answer by shoredude2
First, it is most likely not a wire transfer but an electronic transfer. Wire transfers are usually instantaneous, but they usually charge you upwards of -.

Electronic transfer go through the same process as direct deposit. It takes two business days because the sending bank has to send it to a central clearinghouse first that will then send it to its destination.

Bank of America’s website says when doing a transfer domestically, it will take three business days. They took the money from his account and have sent it to the clearing house. You will get it when your credit union gets it from the clearing house.

Answer by debijs
~~It can take several days for a wire transfer to be credited.~~

Give your answer to this question please!
