Q&A: Windows fax console won’t display faxes, though it used to.
My faxes used to preview as normal, but now I receive the error msg: “fax document cannot be displayed because your operating system does not have a default viewer for fax doc’s.” Don’t know how/why it changed, nor how to reset it. I’ve set the default view of My Pictures to Windows Picture and Fax Viewer, but it didn’t help with displaying faxes. Thanks so much for any advice!
I assume that you have Windows XP
Try System restore. Go to Start > Help and Support and then click on the System Restore click. Choose a date on the calendar when you knw (or hope!) the fax preview was OK. System Restore will then put your settings back to those applicable at the chosen earlier date. The computer automatically restarts for the revised settings to take effect.

I cannot print from my computer. I can still Fax, scan make copies. will the new Window 7 be any better.

Q&A: had a seperate phone line installed for my fax machine but when machine turned on phone won’t work?

My Question: had a seperate phone line installed for my fax machine but when machine turned on phone won’t work?
I take it you have dsl guessing of course if you do then your phone needs a dsl filter on it. Or is that second phone line a SECOND PHONE LINE? is it hooked to the fax line somewhere and they said ok it is fixed and ripped you? you can check that out put a phone on both lines then try to call the other line see if it rings or busy
if it does then hmm replace the dsl filter that is cheap! if thatis used then it could be a loose phone service? from the pole to the house that might run you upto to get checked but when the phone wire runs in your house you check it!ifit looks ok then unplug everything else but phones and fax and have someone fax and phone you on the other line see if it works if it does start plugging things in one by one until it stops working then you will find the bugger. if it is down to the phones and the fax try a phone to phone first then phone to fax it might be the Fax

My Question: I have a HP 6200 Printer .when I try to print a page it displays the fax window and wont let me go to print?
Two things to check for:
1) Make sure you’re not printing to the fax option part for your printer, but to the printer itself. Check your default printer selection.
2) Check to make sure your required fax setup settings in the printer are set and configured (fax phone number & other options are sometimes required to be set before the device is properly enabled for use).

I have an H.P. F340 All-in-one printer. I was printing something when I got a paper jam. >:(. So I unjammed it, and that didn’t solve anything, so I thought of turning off my printer off and back on to solve it. Well when I turned it back on, it says offline on the printers and faxes screen!!! I need this document printed so what do I do?

did you turn it back on?it should say ifs it ready.take all paper but one sheet and place one piece in tray.
it doesn’t need to be online to print a paper stored on ur desktop or documents.
try going to printers in the control panel at
start up menu
printers
then in task bar click on printers and ckick on print off line and canncel all documents and see if that helps

This is a scam, yahoo doesn’t have a lottery, and if you did enter into a lottery, they wouldn’t contact you by email because everyone knows about the emailed lottery winning scams, so the real lottery folks usually call or sometimes send a real mail letter, but never email.

Definitely a spam. They are getting smart these days. Sometimes they send a mail saying that theres a part-time job and ask you to send your resume/details. Sometimes they can send a fake bank login error and ask you to fill details: when the site is their own. Always look at the address bar on your internet browser. They may ask you to send the email password or threaten deactivation of email. Look at the email address from which you got email. When you want to reply the address may be something else. Eg: it maybe lottery1@yahoo.com, but when you want to reply it changes to oinfo21@yahoo.com.hk. Be careful, dont ever give your personal details to anyone! Lot of people have been duped and most scammers are apparently from nigeria. Their english is poor. In your mail they say some multinational companies are conducting lottery as part of social responsibilities, lol thats funny

Can I send a CEASE and DESIST Email to a third party collector they won’t give me there address. I did not tell them I was going to send one. They got my account from a bill of $ 200 from another party wich sold it to them. They swear at me on the phone and told me they are going to call my job and tell them I was doing fraud. I lost my job and was laid off for 6 months (I just got it back a week a-go)that’s why I could not pay.. Unemployment was just barely paying my rent and food in the fridge . I told them I would pay but they won’t give me there address and the fax goes to a voice mail. Here is the place but theres three differnt address so it would be a waste of money to send out certified letters to 3 or 4 places.
